Hello Share Putters. One thing that really stops us making as much as we should - and worse, can put us off buying penny shares altogether - is the obscene size of some of the spreads.

I agree , the price of simple peanut butter spread is obscene and caviar spread beyond reach of all but the best traders . Morrison’s do a good value “own label” peanut butter tho ………..

The spread is yet another device of those crafty market makers to either put you off or draw you in, depending on their stock holding, and whether or not they want to shift that stock.
Along with the daily share price movements, may reflect a degree of market and investor sentiment, but also another device of MM’s to shift stock or not, all very divisive I would say, as with everything in this game.
Peanut butter on a bagel, hummmmmmmmmmmm

Re the LGO RNS today :-
I think if you read todays RNS from LGO with care you will see that it plans to drill low cost wells for the remainder of this year at shallow depth horizons with its own rig , from current cashflow at 400k dollars a throw . The first of which has produced 60 bopd for the last 40 days by natural pressure un pumped . This new horizon being targeted has a well on it that is still producing at 24 BOPD that was drilled in 1958 ……….. yes 1958 . So decline rates on this particular reservoir are LOW. ( pay attention Gary) . Meanwhile Trinity next door is drilling nothing in the entire year . Get in while its cheap !

Encouraging, Wilders, I agree. I still have my original shares, but will not buy any more pro tem.
Meanwhile, the other share I said I was selling, Hardy Oil has put on hefty gains over the last two days. I can’t sell them yet anyway, as the Shareprophets rules, quite rightly, insist I can’t act for a few days after writing my column. Rocking on.
