Breaking news and expert analysis on fast-moving AIM and LSE listed shares

Xavier Rolet thinks he is delivering great things to all people on his watch as CEO of London Stock Exchange plc. His board would have us believe that. Marcus Stuttard thinks he is the sheriff of AIM. They extol the virtues of London’s junior market. We are told of how they have raised billions for smaller companies, and how this has added billions to GDP. Well that is just rubbish: what about the billions of pounds that investors have lost on AIM? AIM is a failure.

DUCK AND DIVE
Most people here would probably agree with every word, Nigel but given the number of times that similar charges have been laid at AIM’s door by different ShareProphets writers without – apparently – any action being taken by the powers that be, the campaign presumably needs to be waged on other fronts.
What about a petition? Can we all write to our MP? Can we enlist the help of other bodies of investors? Can we raise funds for a series of embarrassing advertisements? Can we get a question asked in parliament? Can we get some AIM investors to throw themselves under a horse? Can we create a dedicated website, called SHAIM? Can we muster a class action against LSE? Can we just call the police?

AFAIK Criminal offences should be reported to ‘Plod’ so the CPS can decide no harm has been done…

IIRC a couple of people, or at least one, has tried that route in respect of your ‘good’ self. Apparently it is ‘the cheap way’ of threatening someone to get them to ‘shut up’.
Otherwise you have to go via a private ‘Lawyers Fill Their Pockets’ civil offence route.

Perhaps your hot Barrister would be able to advise how you present your case to ‘Plod’ such that they, and the CPS, take it seriously in respect of Market Abuse as a criminal offence and as practised by the people who are meant to, self, regulate the markets themselves.
