Having closed last week at 750p, shares in CFD trading provider, Plus500 (PLUS) were suspended earlier today at around 300p. They now trade again – currently at around 250p – with the company having issued a statement “to respond to recent speculation regarding the current status of Plus500UK's dialogue with the FCA”…

Any thoughts on why Odey Asset Management have increased their shareholding? I can’t imagine they did that blindly. And they’re not known for lacking astuteness. Puzzling?

TW note All comments are moderated to stop outright libel etc and I am not going to waste my entire day waiting for gems like yours to appear so there are oft delays in approval

Thank you TW … I thought it was a ‘gem’ too; Odey buying suggests there might well be a ‘bull’ case for Plus500. I don’t own shares in Plus500, nor am I short Plus500.
