The highlight of the election was seeing Vince Cable, the man who has predicted 17 of the last 4 recessions lose his seat. What joy that brought. My cheers could be heard across Kalamata Bay as crazy old Vince was soundly thrashed in Twickenham. Of course it is personal.

Cable’s face said it all. I have suffered for years as these complete failure the LibDems with sanctimonious pomp sitting in ivory towers, derided anyone who dare question their views.
This is a remarkable country, with a remarkable people. With so much enterprise, talent and potential, yet this perfumed arse paid by the tax payer could see no right in any of it.
When it came time to test them, they lied, failed and gave the impression (the right one) they would screw anyone for power.
Why anyone would vote for this POS party has been beyond me, but that is democracy for you, it never was perfect.
I thought the election result was a clever measured response from middle England, and the right one. Didn’t do my short book much of a favour thou, I think train wreck is in there somewhere

Pollytishions should try to avoid doing funnies, the permanent secretary joke is older than Les Dawson and changing it around is a no no. The original interpretation was ‘everlasting typist’ and was attributed to some American dude being introduced at a shindig other than that I like him as long as he doesnt tell anymore jokes, he appears to have a pair of balls that were missing from Vince Cable, we shall see.
