Today’s trading statement from blinkx (BLNX) must be making even Roger Lawson from ShareSoc splutter into his cornflakes as it is truly dire. No wonder that the shares, 90p a year ago as Lawson said the bears did not know what they were talking about, are just 28.5p and falling. And worse is to come for this POS as a 100% vindicated Ben Edelman will be having another go at www.UKInvestorshow.com on April 18 in Westminster.

Tom,
This personal abuse towards Roger is dreadful & undeserved.
It just reflects badly on you, I’m afraid Tom.
So Roger got it wrong on this stock, but I don’t believe he ever lied, or ramped, he just gave his personal opinions, which appear to have been wrong – happens to all of us.
I know you two don’t like each other, but writing articles full of personal venom like this, doesn’t add anything worthwhile to the debate at all.
Overall, Roger has done a great deal of hard work through ShareSoc to protect private investor interests, so you’re completely wrong lumping him in with the bad guys. He may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Roger is a good guy.
Paul.

It does seem just a little bit like gloating to be so pleased that Blinx is doing badly. Especially if like me you’re a shareholder in Blinx at 40 p after a tip (which I acknowledge was qualified as not being advice) from someone on Share Prophets a while ago. It is one thing to go after the dishonest and double dealers of the AIM casino but another to seemingly revel in the losses of honest shareholders. I could do with a break. Not a ramp, just a break.
I appreciate your efforts generally to expose the deeply flawed businesses that we are invited to invest in, and I hope you are wrong about this co if only to recoup my losses and get out unscathed.
Best

Each SP writer has his or her views. We do not always agree. I have been a consistent Blinkx bear and it was doing naughty stuff as Ben Edelman pointed out. Ben has more on April 18.
I do not wish losses on anyone bar those who respond to bear pieces I do with abuse & harassment. For them I wish poverty.
Gloating? I have got a lot of stick for calling this right. It is in my nature to dish it out back

A few points:
1. Paul Scott is spot on, Tom is being a pratt in his dealings with Roger Lawson.
2. News out today suggests that the article above may be inaccurate. Blinkx have acquired “All Media [in] an all cash transaction that was funded in late March 2015” (see RNS of today, 16 April 2015). Therefore the true cash position is ambiguous – a pessimistic outlook is that it may be less than $90m, an optimistic assessment is that it could be generating cash, we simply don’t know.
