Aussie law form Slater & Gordon must be getting pretty pissed at having to issue Oz RNS releases clarifying the lies issued by Quenron. Once again a Quisling journalist has made definitive statements about an offer made by S&G for Quindell’s QLS unit. The Quisling’s claims are preposterous but in clarifying Quindell does not deny them forcing S&G to publicly bitch slap. So this time, I recap:

Your observations in the last paragraph are bang on the money.
The antics of Fielding and Moorse with their blatant ramping over the past weeks has been truly disgraceful and in which it seems the other board members, never mind the two much heralded “big city hitters” appear incapable of stopping!

Both the USA & the UK use the word ‘pissed,’ but to mean different things. Since you are based in England, were educated in England, writing on a share listed in England to a largely British audience with maybe a few Aussies (who also use ‘pissed off’) could you please stop saying ‘pissed’ when you mean ‘pissed off’?

I’d agree with you that Q has the main numbers from PWC but has every interest to cut a deal before it’s publishes as otherwise it will state it’s not a going concern – and may do even then. Management incentives are also to delay and add time value to the options. But why on earth should S&G bail it out? In addition no deal of this kind has the price decided until a night of hell leading to a price an hour before the deal is signed – if indeed it is – the fallacy that price is in any way set in stone until anything before an hour before the release is just devoid of any practical experience.

Why didn’t S&G deny the figures in their RNS? As ‘bitch slaps’ go that was a pretty tame one. They effectively just confirmed the bit in the QPP RNS that ‘no offer has yet been made’. I agree that their previous RNSs have poured cold water on the QPP ones, but this one did not. More than a subtle change of tone I reckon and actually lends some credence to the ST article’s figures. It hasn’t affected the SP, so Mr Market still seems to believe that an offer of £640m+ is still on. Hmmmm, interesting. Think you could be wrong here Tom.

FCA what the hell are you doing ………….this is blatant share price manipulation . You wont get a more cut and dried case than this . The prospective purchasers say they have made NO OFFER . The sellers are misrepresenting their own statements made to the prospective purchaser regarding the level that they think a successful bid should be framed at as an actual offer being made to them . Disgraceful .

Tom, do you really think your readers are so gullable that they are not able to understand the QPP RNS? You do seem to be assuming that most of your readers will not bother reading it for themsleves, those that do read it will see you are being less than honest.

We expect double validated £0.55 p/ share earnings and a path to normality ( which is 17 times £0.55 = SP £9.35)
We expect future of growth ( but slower) ……sp higher than £9.35
We wouldnt want to hand over market dominance for a fraction of its worth

Tom – some would argue this is all part of the negotiation process. While Quindell may well be aiming high (before shooting low?) what would you do if on the S&G side but release a “counter-RNS”?
With all due respect, you can read what you wish to into such RNS to suit your narrative; I’m sure the so-called BBMs will be doing much the same. As usual, the truth will most probably be somewhere in the middle.
