I was shocked yesterday to once again see spiv traders on the iii and London South Eastern Bulletin Boards clearly engaging in pump and dump activities in both Argos Resources (ARG) and Borders & Southern Petroleum (BOR). This is blatant ramping.

FOGL ………… at only 50% chance of success why not instead just put half your money in a heap in the back garden and set fire to it and put the rest in LGO . Save yourself the years of pain and angst.
Better still fly to Vegas and see the shows for a fortnight and put whats left on Red or Black .

I can’t understand the investment case for any of these high risk Southern Atlantic plays, particularly with the present highly volatile crude prices.

Ever assuming oil is found in commercially viable quantities its going to be years before anything is actually pumped out add the political ramifications of a hostile Argentinian regime, would investors ever see any return?

Another alternative to the excellent ‘Wildrides’ suggestions, might be putting a few quid into my own favourite oil play ….. Soco International…… thoughts, Chris?

Yeah ……. there was a moron bloke called “ World Oil” on L.S.E that used to do most of the ramping . Funny that ;-)
