Velocity Composites – ‘shipments phasing’ delays or worse?…

Most recently on self-described “leading supplier of advanced composite material kits to the aerospace market” Velocity Composites (VEL), in November with the shares at 17.5p I reviewed why a more than 20% further share price fall and concluded to still avoid/sell. The shares most recently closed at 13.25p, but what about them currently more than 9% higher at 14.5p on the back of a trading statement?

VEL

Velocity Composites – “adjusted EBITDA for FY25 is expected to show a significant improvement”, so why a more than 20% further share price fall?…

Most recently on self-described “leading supplier of advanced composite material kits to the aerospace market” Velocity Composites (VEL), in May I wrote ‘after I asked whether contract announcement last week was attempted ramptastic, now a “Trading Update” share price fall’ which concluded to avoid with the shares falling back down below 24p. The shares most recently closed at 22p and what of them now at 17.5p on the back of a “Trading Update”?

VEL

Velocity Composites – after I asked whether contract announcement last week was attempted ramptastic, now a “Trading Update” share price fall…

Last week on self-described “leading supplier of advanced composite material kits to the aerospace market” Velocity Composites (VEL), I questioned whether a contract renewal announcement was attempted ramptastic ahead of recent half year-end financial detail as the shares rose to 26p. So what of the shares now back down below 24p on the back of a “Trading Update & Notice of Results” announcement?

VEL

Velocity Composites – emphasises contract renewal with “the UK's biggest defence contractor”, but the announcement attempted ramptastic?

Describing itself as a “leading supplier of advanced composite material kits to the aerospace market”, Velocity Composites (VEL) has announced “Renewal of BAE Systems Contract”, emphasising this “for a further three years… with the UK's biggest defence contractor”. So what’s the details in relation to a current more than 10% higher Velocity Composites share price response to 26p?

VEL

Velocity Composites – interims show another loss, to be profitable and cash generative in the current half-year?

Describing itself as a “leading supplier of composite material kits to aerospace”, Velocity Composites (VEL) is today “pleased to announce the company's unaudited results for the six months ended 30 April 2024” and that it “is confident that it will meet market expectations for the full year”. So what of a current up to 41p share price, though still down from exceeding 60p in early 2023?

VEL

Velocity Composites – “pleased to announce” further shares subscription, how much difference is it to make?

Self-described “leading supplier of composite material kits to aerospace and other high-performance manufacturers”, Velocity Composites (VEL) “is pleased to announce… additional demand from a strategic investor to invest £190,000 by way of a conditional subscription for 475,000 new ordinary shares… The net proceeds from the additional subscription will, together with the net proceeds from the fundraising, be used for CAPEX, people (engineering, software and business development) and working capital for expansion”. What of this, with the shares currently at 42p?

VEL

Velocity Composites – discounted equity raise, how “pleased” should it be?…

Self-described “leading supplier of composite material kits to aerospace and other high-performance manufacturers”, Velocity Composites (VEL) notes £6.2 million it “is pleased to announce that it has conditionally raised… Furthermore, the company announces a retail offer to raise up to £0.5 million”. How ‘pleasing’ is all of this for shareholders?

VEL

Velocity Composites – half-year trading update, benefits from “investment in growth” to come through?

Previously writing on company describing itself as a “leading supplier of composite material kits to aerospace and other high-performance manufacturers” Velocity Composites (VEL), in January with the shares down to 60p I concluded still much to do to deliver and with also its financial situation I avoided. What then now with the shares currently at 42p on the back of a trading update, though that up from a sub 40p prior close?

VEL

Velocity Composites – argues ‘benefits from investment in growth’ to come through… it looks to need to!

Describing itself as a “leading supplier of composite material kits to aerospace and other high-performance manufacturers”, Velocity Composites (VEL) states that it “is pleased to announce the company's audited results for the twelve months to 31 October 2022”. The shares have though currently responded more than 6% lower to 60p, so how ‘pleased’ should it be?

VEL

Velocity Composites – “a major milestone” agreement?

Velocity Composites (VEL) has announced what it emphasises as “a major milestone” – “the signing of a five-year Work Package Agreement with GKN Aerospace in the United States expected to be worth in excess of US$100 million in revenue over five years”. What of a current share price response up more than 57% to 42.5p?

VEL

Velocity Composites – trading update, how’s the balance sheet now?

Aerospace and high-performance composite material kits company Velocity Composites (VEL) has announced a trading update including that it “is pleased to report that Velocity's sales for H1 FY22 are in line with management expectations at £5.9 million (H1 FY21: £4.4 million)… look forward to the future with confidence in the long-term prospects”. The shares have currently responded up towards 20p, though are still well down on levels of early this year.

I'm a Reform member Eric but Restore are just getting in the way. An alliance between Reform and the Tories would be ideal, but I doubt it will happen. The country is in a dire state - the perfect re-run of the 1970's. We've even got a Chancellor with the same surname - only difference is the other one had hair.

You think you've dismissed what he said, but you've actually made it worse by highlighting the layer upon layer upon layer of taxpayer money that is lavished on seemingly doing everything possible to stop these criminals from being removed from a country they broke into, and have no right to remain in.All whilst, of course, lavishing large salaries and pensions benefits on the self-congratulatory lanyard classes that have built this system at immense taxpayer expense to give themselves something to do all day, instead of you know, actually doing something that contributes taxes to and benefits this country.

The plumber story once again illustrates how indigenous British people are bottom of the pile in this country. What makes this worse, and I hear of plenty of other similar examples, is that the Government deny this is happening. This is being done purposely to cause anger and more division for the simply fact that a divided Nation is easier to conquer.

You overstate the effect of the Greenland agreement. The US has had a base on Greenland for decades and has always had the right to expand it, but has chosen not to invest the money to do so. There is no evidence whatsoever that the new agreement will change this. Trump’s attention span is so short that once the signing has been done, he will lost interest in the whole matter.

Can failed asylum seekers get free government funding for training in trades such as plumbing? Not in the way Tom suggested.Under the Adult Skills Fund rules, asylum seekers are eligible for funding if they have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer while their claim is still being considered and no decision has been made. Someone whose claim has been refused qualifies only in limited cases: they have appealed and no decision has come within six months of lodging the appeal, or they receive section 4 support or certain local authority support. Someone who has exhausted their appeals and has no lawful status generally falls outside it. The funding rules list those who are here without authority or lawful status among those who aren't eligible. Some context on the claim as it's being framed:• The funding is for course fees at eligible providers. It isn't a cash grant or loan, and plumbing isn't singled out. It applies to whatever funded courses the learner is eligible for.• The current viral version comes from a social media post. It says a British adult over 23 can face costs of up to £6,000 for the same courses. UK-born adults can also get full funding in some circumstances, such as low earnings, but the rules are complicated and vary by area. The rules are set nationally by the Department for Education, with devolved areas like London running their own versions, so a specific provider or region may apply them slightly differently.
