Time Out Group – “a year of significant operational and strategic progress”. Er, what about financial?

Time Out Group (TMO) CEO Chris Ohlund describes the group’s year ended 30th June 2026 as “a year of significant operational and strategic progress. We opened three new Markets, expanding the portfolio to 13 locations worldwide, and signed new capital-light Market franchise agreements for India and Brazil”. What about financially though?

TMO

Time Out Group – interims, is it really now “well-positioned for sustainable, profitable growth”?

Describing itself as a “global media and hospitality business”, Time Out Group (TMO) has announced results for its half-year ended 31st December 2025 headlined “Adjusted strategy positions the Group for a return to profitable growth”. So disappointing results then and does an “adjusted strategy” look sufficient to bring profitable growth?

TMO

Time Out Group – full-year trading warning… almost two months after the year-end!

Describing itself as “a global brand that inspires and enables people to experience the best of the city… across a unique multi-platform model spanning both digital and physical channels”, Time Out Group (TMO) is also a former Woodford pick and, thus, it should be investor trepidation on today a “Trading update and new loan facility” announcement.

TMO

Time Out Group – “new franchise agreement” emphasising “unmatched digital and real-life model”. Er, what about the just-announced “strategy review”?!

Time Out Group (TMO) has today announced a “franchise agreement to launch Time Out India… a unique proposition, both for consumers and commercial partners to connect with this valuable audience”. The shares have currently responded slightly higher to 27.5p, but are still down from above 30p earlier this month, so is this latest financially-significant or more attempted ramptastic?

TMO

Time Out Group – Media business “strategy review… to review monetisation of growing audience”. Er, nothing to do with the trading warning then?!

Most recently writing on Time Out Group (TMO), in October with the shares at 49.5p I noted the balance sheet having been deteriorating and, as a former Woodford pick, natch to still avoid/sell. The shares most recently closed at 29p and now a “Trading Update” and what of the shares currently further down to 27p?

TMO

Time Out Group – full-year results and a placing “to fund capital investment”. Er, what about the currently further deteriorated balance sheet?

Time Out Group (TMO) has announced a placing to raise approximately £8 million at 50p per share “to fund capital investment in connection with opening two new potential markets in London and New York, and to accelerate Media technology investments”. What about this with also today-announced results for its year ended 30th June 2024?

TMO

Time Out Group – interims, is loss-making and a net current liabilities position really a “company well positioned for sustained growth”?!

Describing itself as a “global media and hospitality business”, Time Out Group (TMO) has announced results for its half-year ended 31st December 2023 headlined “Strong growth in adjusted EBITDA driven by improved margins and performance across both Media and Markets. Company well positioned for sustained growth”. What of that and a 54p share price still well down (natch, for a Woodford “investment”) from a 2016 150p listing price?

TMO

Time Out Group – short-term loan facility, how’s that balance sheet set then?

Previously writing on “global media and hospitality business” Time Out Group (TMO), last year I wrote General Meeting approval for (as warned here) material dilution – concluding that with the shares up to around 50p, capitalising the group at circa £166 million, and a profitable business proposition still to be proven I certainly continued to avoid. Today the shares are 41p on the back of a “Loan Facility” announcement.

So is there anything actually in the Epstein files implicating Trump directly in wrong doing? Unlike, say, Pres Clinton, No!.

AI Overview:Donald Trump is the most frequently mentioned public figure by raw count in the released Jeffrey Epstein documents, appearing in tens of thousands of references and files (though a large portion of these consist of news articles, media clippings, or press mentions shared or saved within Epstein's records)Trump was also recorded boasting that he was a pussy-grabber in the Access Hollywood tapes.

Why am I surprised at yet another farcical episode on the London market? As Tom has suggested for over 2 years, this stock has clearly always been one for one to add to their bargepole list. While I doubt that anybody reading this website would own GEX shares, unfortunately numerous BB mugs will have been lured into buying shares in this joke company. I understand that the bar for regulatory action by the FCA on Main Market listed shitcos appears to be set extremely high, but surely it should be taking action against companies who engage in such placings. The culture of companies materially misleading investors ahead of placings, while sitting on adverse price sensitive information, must be rooted out if London is to be considered a credible financial centre.

From the January 2026 peak some of my gold and silver stocks are down by up to 50 %.However the intrinsic npv of these Companies at much lower gold and silver prices leaves these mines at a huge discount based on the current sp.I remember being in cey in 2008 when the price tanked but I stayed in because the gold had not gone away….

You have just shown yourself to be needing as much psychiatric treatment as PM with that diatribe. I am no fan of Trump by nobody of sound mind carries those thoughts at the front of their mind.I doubt you know anything about the Epstein files and with Trump being as litigious as he is you could be in bother with defamatory comments like that.

Surely one is always underwater when buying shares because of the spread? Maybe the spread is greater for an AQSE stock than a FTSE 100 stock but you'll always be slightly under water, hopefully just short term.
