Finally the truth is beginning to emerge at the London-listed, Israeli-based Internet-Of-Things fraud Telit Comunications (TCM) - one of my top three shorts along with Purplebricks (PURP) and UK Oil & Gas (UKOG).
Yosi Fait sold all his shares in Telit (TCM) AFTER it breached its banking covenants which as FD he must have known about as he must also have been aware that first half trading was way below forecast. But the company's new chairman has taken external legal guidance and said Yosi did nothing wrong and so has appointed him full time CEO. Well that's alright then. But there is yet another catastrophic profits warning ( as predicted) which begs the question of how great is debt now and will bank covenants be breached again?
One of ex-fraudster Sam Antar’s golden rules for companies committing fraud is never to respond to criticism. Telit Communications (TCM), the Israel-based Internet of Things fraud, broke this rule yesterday by rushing out a badly worded rebuttal to a Sky News story which stated that the FCA had begun making enquiries into events at the company.

The timing of last week’s short call on Telit (TCM) was somewhat spoiled by rumours, fuelled by a story in the FT, of a bid for part or all of the company. Rothschild was said to be gauging interest in the automotive division with a price tag of £100-150 million, “according to two people briefed on the situation”. It was hinted that the obscure Chinese fund, Run Liang Tai Management, which has recently acquired 14% of Telit might bid for the whole company.
I wrote that I would not comment again on the Internet of Things company Telit Communications (TCM) until borrow became available again. The recall of borrow, it will be remembered, along with buying by various parties such as Davide Serra (the self-regarding nincompoop who complained to both the SEC and the FCA about the truth being told about the Quindell fraud in which he was foolish enough to have a sizeable holding), caused the share price to almost double recently. The good news is that borrow is now possible and the shares are unsurprisingly on the slide. They should be sold with vigour.

Yesterday shares in R4E (R4E) fell sharply after a profits warning and a warning that it may breach its covenants in the third quarter. I am a shareholder in R4E and happen to think the fall is way overdone, but that is for another time. I want to look at how it handled the covenant issue and what that tells you about the financial crime at Telit (TCM) - which morally bankrupt Nomad FinnCap is okay with.
Telit (TCM) shares zoomed by 30% yesterday back to 160p, almost the level before it emerged here that its founder and CEO Oozi Cats was in fact Uzi Katz, the Boston real estate fraudster and fugitive from US justice. The latest ramp is news that it might generate some sales from AT&T. Whoopie do.
Telit (TCM) currently has a proven insider dealer as its CEO. Yosi Fait sold ALL his shares two months ago knowing the company had breached a bank covenant and was going to serve up dire H1 numbers. Apparently insider dealing is fine and dandy on AIM. In that vein, pointing out other issues relating to shocking corporate governance may seem irrelevant on the "world's most successful growth market". But if any of Marcus Stuttard or his fucking useless colleagues at AIM Regulation care any more...
Evil Banksta is an occasional writer here and is evil because he really is a banker by profession. As such he does know about banking covenants, the relationship between corporate borrowers and lenders and that sort of thing. As such his comments on Telit (TCM) really are damning and merit a wider audience. Before we get to Evil Banksta I am just flabbergasted by why CEO Yosi Fait has not been fired.
