First writing here on Mobile Streams (MOS), in 2015 I concluded with the shares at circa 17p it is currently here for me, red flags ahoy! Bargepole. Most recently, I concluded with the shares now further lower to 0.15p, the market cap is down to £0.21 million. Good luck from there! – and I note more than three months ago the company was already “analyzing further financing initiatives”. Natch, currently still a bargepole / sell. Now “Proposed Cancellation & Notice of General Meeting”…
Mobile Streams (MOS) has updated including in Argentina “the board are now looking to renew commercial activities with previous customers” and “in Mexico, actions have been taken in order to re-launch the commercial operation with Telcel, the largest carrier in Mexico”. However…
Previously writing on Mobile Streams (MOS) a couple of weeks ago, I noted interims & “the directors are analyzing further financing initiatives and a cost reduction program”. I bet they are!. Today CEO Simon Buckingham emphasises “decisive cost reduction actions. This has allowed the company to preserve and protect its remaining cash balances”. Has it?...
Mobile Streams (MOS) has announced results for its half year ended 31st December 2018, including emphasising “the company is currently working with some of the largest carriers in the India market: Vodafone-Idea, Jio and BSNL” and “we anticipate increased performance from our relationship with the newest entrant to the Indian telecom market”. So why are the shares currently further materially lower, to 0.25p?...
Mobile content retailer in Argentina and India, Mobile Streams (MOS) “is pleased to announce a fundraising of £140,000… at 0.35 pence per subscription share”, with CEO Simon Buckingham “delighted by this increased support from our existing investors. We are excited by the potential to launch our mobilegaming.com games services in the large Indonesian market”. Hmmm...
A “new market initiative in Indonesia” announcement from Mobile Streams (MOS), including CEO Simon Buckingham arguing, having “considered a number of markets to complement Latin America and India… we strongly believe that Indonesia, a sizable market with a population of over 250 million, provides the best opportunity to achieve positive results in both the short and long term”. Hmmm…
Back in early December I wrote a piece warning people not to get taken in by RNS-Reach announcements, and criticising the way that some companies seemed to use the system to try to attract investors and pump their share price, by releasing information that isn’t considered to be price sensitive, but making out that it is some sort of big deal.
Mobile Streams (MOS) is “delighted to be partnering with the world's fastest growing telecom company, Reliance Jio… India's largest 4G network”. However, it’s an RNS Reach announcement…
I often find myself questioning the purpose of RNS Reach announcements for companies listed on the AIM market, as they can cause severe volatility in the share price and this is usually far more than is justified by the news itself.
A “MOS welcome the 6 millionth user”-titled announcement from Mobile Streams (MOS) sounds ramptastic… and it’s an RNS Reach (“non-regulatory news releases such as marketing messages, corporate and product information”). Alarm bells ringing…
The board of mobile content licenser and distributor Mobile Streams (MOS) “is pleased to present its audited accounts for the financial year ended 30 June 2018”. The shares have responded..., er, currently approaching 25% lower, to 0.70p!...
The share price of Mobile Streams (MOS) has pretty much halved since I recently covered it as one to avoid at all costs, but despite that drop I still see no value in any investment here.
Mobile Streams (MOS) appears to be yet another AIM company where it is hard to see it ever actually returning any money to investors, and whilst it certainly isn’t unique in that regard, I do have to wonder how long it can keep going for before the ability to raise funds finally dries up.
I concluded in December on mobile content company Mobile Streams (MOS) that there didn’t look a great situation at present in the currently key India market and that I continued to avoid. There’s now a 09:30am Trading Statement…
