Describing itself as “the UK’s leading specialist retailer of greeting cards, gifts and celebration essentials”, Card Factory (CARD) has issued a “Trading Statement” including “now expect to deliver adjusted Profit Before Tax for the full financial year between £55m and £60m”. The “now” means that wasn’t what it was expecting before though, so what are the details?
With the Budget coming up next week and it being anyways guess what nasty surprises the government might include for business and the economy I wouldn’t be in. any rush to buy shares until after that.
Greetings cards and gifts are never going to be the most exciting investment you make, but nor are you likely to lose your shirt overnight, and I think that Card Factory (CARD) has potential from the current share price.
