Amaroq (#AMRQ) – admission to trading on the Main Market and AIM cancellation
- 2026-07-31 06:29:56
I have only just noticed this from two months ago. Tell me that Eldur Olafsson and Amaroq (AMRQ) are not THE class act on AIM. But not for long, as of Friday Amaroq will be off the casino and onto the Main Market prompting a whole new range of IIs to step up to the plate. This is why Amaroq was rightly judged by you as the bet the ranch stock to own.
I’ve got a stack of shares in AIM-listed Amaroq (AMRQ), the
Greenland Gold producer. Today we had great news in the announcement of
confirmation that it is moving to the Main Market on Friday. At the current
106p it will clearly bag an instant place in the FTSE250. The shares are a buy.
Between now and 28th July you can win a week at the Greek Hovel paying just a cleaning and pool fee – by explaining in 300-1000 words why if you had to bet everything on one share on a three year view what that share would be. To see how to enter go HERE and PLEASE KEEP SENDING IN ENTRIES. Nineteenth up is Tom, currently residing in a Greek Hovel

Amaroq (AMRQ) has announced a “subscription agreement… to provide further funding to support its 2026/27 exploration programme and related activities; specifically the high impact Ilua rare earth project, which is currently being drilled, and the Minturn, potential large scale iron ore and IOCG, project in the north of Greenland”.
Greenland minerals company Amaroq (AMRQ) has announced the commencement of a first 2026 exploration campaign, stating it “will provide first subsurface assessment of the size, scale and economic potential” of the prospect. And it has more news on the move to the Main Market from the AIM Casino.
Amaroq (AMRQ) has issued a “Commissioning of Flotation Circuit and Completion of Phase 2 at Nalunaq” announcement. The shares gained 2p to 85p on the news. Amaroq is delivering but the sliding gold price has whacked sentiment of late.
For me there is just one negative but you may view it as a positive. There are many positives. The Capital Markets Day presentation is below. I offer a few thoughts.
We have had previous success here with gold and strategic metals in Greenland-focused Amaroq (AMRQ), most recently from a 73p offer price tip in 2024 and taking profits as the shares exceeded our target price early this year. They went on to reach a closing high of 149p and commenced this month at 122p but are now what we consider artificially low and the following is why…
Amaroq (AMRQ) has announced its results for the 2025 calendar year, noting it completed the phase 1 commissioning at its Nalunaq gold mine in Greenland and reiterates 2026 production guidance of 25-35koz of gold. Together with the further outlook and potential of its significant asset portfolio in Greenland, there still looks significant upside potential from the valuation at a current 93p share price.
Amaroq (AMRQ) has issued a “2026 Production and Financial Guidance and Exploration Update”, with CEO Eldur Olafsson emphasising “with the Nalunaq gold mine now through the commissioning of Phase 1 and running in steady state operations, I am pleased to be announcing our 2026 full year production guidance range of 25-35koz of gold. Within the current gold price environment and based on our cost and capital budgets for the year, we anticipate strong free cash flow from operations”. The following is why that and the company’s other potential also in Greenland suggests there is still value from an up to 121p share price, £563 million market cap.
According to the LSE the 559 companies on the AIM Casino, the self styled world’s most successful growth market, have a combined market cap of c#42 billion. Well up to a point. The past 2 days have seen two of the largest companies announce they are off to the Main Market this year.
So wiser counsel prevailed and I sold just under a third of my Amaroq (AMRQ) shares last night. Wiser counsel my arse. The gold price is up another $200, to $5,500, for the reasons I discussed in yesterday’s bearcast and so natch Amaroq shares have marched ahead. It has also released an impressive new video as you can see below.
I am not sure which is the “true” market and which is not: the TSX or the AIM Casino. Anyhow, Amaroq (AMRQ) closed Friday on the casino at 137.5p but in Canada they closed at C2.91 which is 155p.
Amaroq (AMRQ) has issued a “High-Grade Iron and Copper/Gold Potential Confirmed at Minturn Prospect”-titled announcement, which sounds like encouraging further potential to add to its already developments to ‘unlock Greenland’s mineral potential’.
