A stock to short from Sharestock

Last Friday Steve and I flagged up a BUY idea that came from the 2026 Sharestock. The one day event held at my house in Wales and where planning is already underway for 2027 as you can see HERE – also served up some cracking short ideas two of which we published on Friday. Here is one of them, it's from Liverpool's greatest numbers man since Ken Dodd, the 56 year old sole member of the Bexley Young Conservatives, Mr Evil Banksta

Aston Martin Lagonda – Q1 results emphasise “on track to deliver material financial improvement this year”… but to only a bit less dire?

Aston Martin Lagonda (AML) has issued its “Q1 results for three months ended 31 March 2026” including highlighting “enhanced product mix… combined with transformation benefits delivers material gross margin improvement to 35%… enhances pro forma liquidity at the end of Q1 2026 to c. £230m”. The shares have responded slightly up to back above 40p but what of they still well below 60p+ as recently as February?

AML

Aston Martin Lagonda – Q3 results argue upcoming financial performance “to materially improve”, but how much so with the macroeconomic headwinds?

Most recently on company describing itself as “creating the most exquisitely addictive performance cars” but on which I’ve noted “exquisitely addictive further cash burn” Aston Martin Lagonda (AML), early this month with the shares falling towards 75p I wrote ‘“Q3 2025 Trading Update and revised outlook”, and not “revised” positively (quelle surprise!)’ including concluding ahead of it on trading to “provide more detail at its Q3 Results on 29th October”, natch still avoid/sell. Now those results and what of the shares currently around 65p on the back of them?

AML

Aston Martin Lagonda – “Q3 2025 Trading Update and revised outlook”, and not “revised” positively (quelle surprise!)…

Just over two months ago company describing itself as “creating the most exquisitely addictive performance cars” but on which I’ve noted “exquisitely addictive further cash burn”, Aston Martin Lagonda (AML) emphasised “expect positive FCF generation in H2'25 and FY25 adjusted EBIT improving towards breakeven”. Now a “Q3 2025 Trading Update and revised outlook” and what are the chances of that outlook having been “revised” positively?

AML

Aston Martin Lagonda – prospective further fundraising, for “exquisitely addictive performance cars” or exquisitely addictive further cash burn?

I most recently warned on exquisitely addictive cash burner (Oops, I mean “ultra-luxury British brand, creating the most exquisitely addictive performance cars”)!, Aston Martin Lagonda (AML), just last month, with the shares then falling towards 100p, with I concluding to not have much confidence in the argued “expected” outlook improvement. Now Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll emphasises that a “proposed investment further underscores my conviction in this extraordinary brand, and commitment to ensuring Aston Martin has the strongest possible platform for creating long-term value while reducing equity dilution via this premium subscription, which should greatly reassure shareholders”. The shares have responded up in response, but what about that to currently still just around 70p?!

AML

Aston Martin Lagonda – dire 2024 results emphasising “material improvement in 2025 financial performance expected”. But where have I heard similar before?!…

Luxury vehicles company Aston Martin Lagonda (AML) has announced results for the 2024 calendar year headlined including “Material improvement in 2025 financial performance expected to deliver positive adjusted EBIT in FY 2025 and free cash flow in H2 2025; unchanged 2027/28 mid-term targets”. So a poor 2024 performance then? And what is really the outlook from here, with the shares falling towards 100p?

Only about 3.5 million files of approximately 6 million Epstein files have been released, and of those released many are heavily redacted by the Trump DOJ in Washington. The answer to your question may be in the redacted and unreleased files. Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the DOJ is permitted to suppress explicit abuse materials.
