I would expect Israel to be very high up in this league table for obvious reasons. But the Visual Capitalist says that only 91 countries and economies' took part. Given that there are 195 recognised countries in the world, and I have no idea of how many 'economies', I presume that Israel did not take part in this exercise.

Tax is tax, whether it is income tax or VAT. It is entirely true that the lowest quartile of the population pay a much larger percentage of their income in tax that millionaires do. Millionaires also have lots of ways to reduce the tax they pay. The richest people don't pay any income or capital gains tax at all.
