Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
After the recent big rises on Leni Gas and Oil (LGO), banking at least some profit looks to be the sensible move. When you consider that the share price was a little over 0.7p as recently as April and has now risen to close to 4p, adding nearly £75 million to the company’s market cap, this one looks a little on the ripe side.

664 = 240BOPD
665 = likely 250 BOPD
666,667,668- any reason to doubt they will be less? They are the same patch.
Therefore in the near term 1200BOPD. Roughly $58,000 profit a day in profit. If we assume roughly 295 days production you get $18m a year profit from just these 5 wells. MCAP today at 3.8p is 95m. That ignore all other assets and assuming the other 24 wells strike zero.
So I think your advice has no rational basis.

Didn’t you say sell all of LGO at 2p? WHY now say sell at 4p. Readers are not stupid you know!

You are right. Nearly all are readers are very clever but some are thick. They fail to notice that we have 36 different writers who have different views and write different articles. Thy don't check bylines. So Gary is offering his view today, James parter jumped ship too early last week and Shareprophets got out of its trading buy far too early.
Check bylines my friend – our writers write what they want and so disagree at times.

I agree with Andrew ……….its got a long long, way to go yet ……. Okay, so some of the future is priced in ( but not that much really ) which is entirely normal for any growth share . If they keep hitting pay dirt ( which they will cos its all the same field essentially ) then this will just grow and grow . The projected production will be in the numbers as soon as they are declared . This ( as I have said so many times ) is the oil play of the year . Forget all your other off shore and deep water plays . Too risky …….. COS 1 in 5 , and too expensive to drill . This is onshore easy drilling sandstone …….. a piece of piss for a good oil man . Get in while you still can .

Tom W – I see what you are saying but I think the issue here is the quality of the posts varies – this one is a good example of someone with a hunch and that’s it – where is the insight or numbers? If you are all financial journalists, which I heard you say many times, then don’t you have an editor where you submit copy?
Mohsin
And I was told by Tom W to buy as much as I can even if I had a gun pointing to my head… so I don’t know why he is asking to bank profit.. By the way I have bought again today £10k.. and i will buy again if it backs to 3.70p

Andrew,
This site was built on the principle of free speech. So while the Editor (Ben) should change spelling mistakes, watch for libel etc, he cannot change the conclusion of a given writer.
Folks flock to write here simply because of that principle.
As soon as an edict goes out telling writers that they can or cannot take a stance on any given stock I shall be the first one to resign.

I tweet nearly all articles from this site, I endorse this site and all the writers who write here. I do not agree with all their views since they often disagree with each other.
I even tweeted Malcolm’s lefty piece today. Do I endorse his views FFS?
The only tweet of MY view on LGO was to Mohsin see above.

You don’t agree with their view but still endorse the site and its writers ?.. It is like “I don’t want to buy but I want you to buy”…
Fortunately I have seen many many comments on LSE where people is explaining how your “TIPS” and advices has financialy ruined them.
So I will keep quite and unfollow you.

So I support free speech & diversity of opinion and you view that as a crime?
I know my track record but you view BB Morons as a better test, Okay fine by me.
You have free access to this site but will unfollow ,me. Shite! So the economic cost to me of that is er…..£0. I must go slit my wrists now, I am so devestated, you have ruined my income stream with a loss of income of er £0.
Do I give a FF? Go follow the BB morons and become the next Warren Buffett because the never get it wrong..
Best wishes
