Solo Oil (SOLO) is one of a few AIM listed oil companies where there is activity on most fronts. The hot front to the south sees Solo progress gas exploration in Tanzania. The cold front in England sees Solo progress its oil exploration at Horse Hill. All eyes are on these two beasts after resource upgrades and the share price has rocketed to 0.6p making Solo worth £30 million. But there are great reasons to think this will at least halve by 2016.

Solo always was a polished turd . It was polished with vomit and dog entrails and was also the cause of a two year supply shortage of barge poles . Ritson always spreads himself too thin . The bloke wants to learn and understand the word “ Focus “ At the moment he has too many fecking ffffffff…….foci . Good job he is not a wanker or things would be really bad .

Not disputing your analysis or price target,but is shorting really practicable on a stock like this ? The spread would be huge,someone would have to hold it to lend it – so borrowing costs probably high – and then if they sold you might get bought back in on the other end of the spread.

So you guys calculated, that 0.3 will make you decent chunk of money when share hits at least 1? Now trying to scare investors to dump shares cheap, so you get a discount? All boards are full of your crap, creating rumor that Solo is worthless. Hey, I have an advise for you- why don’t you invest in your ususal pump and dump companies like MX Oil? Oh, that is right, people stopped believing your crap? Because companies without assets are worthless?

James, I dont know how experienced you are with cfd trading, but this article suggests not very!
Suggesting people short a stock that has nearly a 20% spread is just ridiculous!
You may have a strong case for a sell argument, I dont know anyhing about solo, but sell and short are wildly different things. To short this kind of stock you really need to be insider dealing, because needing a 20% drop in the ask JUST TO BREAK EVEN is really stupid.
To borrow a phrase from our revered leader… frankly it is a bit moronic.

Forgive me gentlemen ………. but I dont see James suggesting “short” this stock …………… merely sell .
Any successful trader on AIM will tell you that limiting your losses is the route to wealth . If you keep shares in your port that are going to wipe out all your gains …….. what is the point .
I note Dell boy Lemongas is showing his true colours again . Such a shame ……… I thought his market approach had matured a tad in recent times . But alas it seems not . Its a funny thing with Tom and Del boy . I would have thought it would be like oil and water , the two of them ………… but no, it seems they get on well . Must be a case of keeping enemies closer I suggest .

I assumed that James meant it as a short because he used the word ‘target’ – targeting a halving in the share price.

Oh look… its the 31st Dec and the share price is 0.79 – I think I will leave the long picks. You really set your self up for a fall by saying 0.3 by a specific date. No news was predicted and perhaps the things you said might be true by why think it will all unravel in 4 days between Christmas and New Year. This whole piece fails and makes you look silly….

I have no view on solo but you need to learn to read before trying to be a smartarse. This was a 2015 tip of the year ( the clue is in the title) and so the dec 31 referred to is dec 31 2015 not 2014.
