Fluid power products and systems company Flowtech Fluidpower (FLO) has announced its results for the 2025 calendar year and that its “order book and sales pipeline are demonstrating solid momentum and builds confidence beyond Q1 26 - focus on higher growth sectors such as defence, waterways & flood defence, data centres, and transportation continues”. What do the results and outlook suggest from its valuation at a 45.5p share price?
A year ago and including with 2024 calendar year earnings per share expectations of 7.8p, shares in “the largest supplier of fluid power products, systems and solutions in the UK, Ireland and Benelux”, Flowtech Fluidpower (FLO) were 114p. There followed some trading disappointment, but just announced half-year 2025 results included “momentum has improved during Q2 25 and into Q3 25 with self-help growth initiatives strengthening the sales pipeline and orderbook”. The following is why that looks to suggest there is recovery value from a 70p offer price for the shares.
Power, motion and control components and systems distributor Flowtech Fluidpower (FLO) has announced its results for the 2024 calendar year and that first quarter of 2025 trading has “been in line with our expectations following the work completed during 2024 to build a more stable and scalable platform for focused growth”. How does this compare to a currently further down from 49p share price?
Most recently writing on engineering components and assemblies distributor Flowtech Fluidpower (FLO), last month with the shares up to 118p I concluded that ‘emphasis of “the mid-term” suggests the current outlook is not positive and, ahead of the next month-scheduled half year results detail, avoid’. The shares most recently closed at 110p and what of now “2024 Half-year Report & Trading update”, and the shares currently around 90p despite the announcement commencing, “Whilst there are ongoing challenging market conditions, we have delivered further performance improvements, implemented cost control measures and improved overall service levels, which have improved gross margin in the period”?
Flowtech Fluidpower (FLO) has announced it has acquired the business and certain assets of Thomas Wright/Thorite Group Limited from administration, emphasising adding its “expertise in pneumatics, automation and compressed air capability is an excellent fit… which will enhance our scale, margin profile, and help to accelerate market share gains”. What of a share price currently up in response but, at 118p, still below levels even reached last year?
Flowtech Fluidpower (FLO) has announced its results for the 2022 calendar year and that “with global supply chains now more consistent, we can reduce inventories to match our needs and return to generating strong cashflows to support our investment activities, whilst exploiting our new digital capabilities”. That sounds encouraging, so what’s the company’s current position?
Fluid power products business Flowtech Fluidpower (FLO) is a company we have successfully covered on this website before – banking a less than six months 39.5% offer to bid gain last year at a 117.5p bid price, though also noting then that on continuing strong trading recovery delivery there is likely some further upside. The shares went on to reach 150p and this year’s half-year numbers showed further positive trading recovery… but the shares are currently available at a 109.5p offer price. We therefore now ride again, targeting a return to 140p+ as trading delivery is further proven and market sentiment improves from here.
Shares in Flowtech Fluidpower (FLO) remain below levels of earlier this year despite recent results showing encouraging recovery and noting an encouraging start to this year, with there looking to be scope for further recovery in profitability and for the share price.
Previously writing on hydraulic and pneumatic consumables and components and systems business Flowtech Fluidpower (FLO), I concluded in an update on my share tips of the year 2021 last month that the shares are now 123.5p and for those still in, ahead of an update on half-year trading, I currently say hold. Today it has announced that trading update...
