‘Packaging and automation solutions group’ Mpac (MPAC) has announced results for the first half of the 2026 calendar year including that “the outlook for the full year remains unchanged following the company’s update in June”. So what about a currently more than 5% lower share price response to 330p?

Most recently on packaging and automation equipment group Mpac (MPAC), in April with the shares down to 230p I concluded that, whilst it argued its 2025 action “positions the group well to navigate the ongoing pressure on customers in 2026”, the outlook actually looked challenged and to avoid/sell. The shares most recently closed at 262.5p but what about now a “Trading Update and Sale of Lambert for up to £20m” announcement… and the shares currently falling back towards 230p?

Packaging and automation equipment group Mpac (MPAC) has announced results for the 2025 calendar year including “in line with market expectations… underlying earnings per ordinary share amounted to 35.9p for the year (2024: 35.2p)” and that its “leaner and more efficient operating model positions the group well to navigate the ongoing pressure on customers in 2026”. So what about a current share price response to 230p, more than 11% down?

Mpac Group (MPAC) is a previous successful tip and the shares went on to be heading towards 600p early this year. However, sentiment towards this self-described “global packaging and automation solutions group” was significantly hit amidst Trump tariffs chaos and, although a share price recovery has started to emerge, there looks much further to go from a 440p offer price.

Describing itself as “a global leader in high-speed packaging and automation solutions”, Mpac Group (MPAC) has issued a trading update headlined “H1 trading in line with the Board's expectations and positive outlook”. What does that mean financially and in relation to a share price currently 2.3% lower in response towards 500p?

High-speed packaging and related automation group Mpac (MPAC) was positive in its September-announced 2023 half-year results but noted an “H2 weighting” in a macro “challenging trading environment”. That suggested to have some caution, but a “Full Year Trading Update” has just emphasised “FY23 trading performance in line with market expectations” and “Strong opening order book supporting a positive outlook for further growth in FY24”. We consider it suggests also strong share price value.
