I am a Zionist. I do not hide it. I write about the evils of anti semitism, about the holocaust and also my support for the Jewish state. I am proud to stand with my Jewish friends. That should be allowed. Some folks might assume I am Jewish. I am not. But the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the UK’s largest activist group might think that as Paul Mathieson, who tweeted that he wished my mum had killed herself earlier than she did, when I was 8, has gone into action to destroy my wife’s business, Sharestock.
The Mrs owns the event and it is her employer. She has never commented on Mathieson but she is being attacked for being married to me. I had joked about getting in the ex bank robber Brokerman Dan to do security. That was a joke. We are, in fact, now employing a registered professional outfit and it may be needed.
Because Mathieson has written to Palestine Solidarity urging its members to protest if they do not like my views giving them a sample of my articles. He does not say I am Jewish but I bet they jump to that conclusion.
I do not regret writing the articles for a second, I do say NEVER AGAIN when I consider the October 7 pogrom. I do call out fake news about starvation in Gaza spread by anti semites whose aim is the destruction of the Jewish state.
I detest the terrorists of Hamas. I stand with the Jews. But Mathieson is now weaponising that to destroy my wife’s livelihood, her business which has never commented on him and never will. Do I bother contacting the folks at Palestine Solidarity to say I am a Zionist not a Jew and that this is my wife’s event and, as it happens, she is on their side. No.
That would be cowardly. I stand with the Jews and if Mathieson wants to weaponise that as he did mum’s suicide it is a sad day. the Email follows:
