Sir Keir says that the heroes of Christmas are those public sector workers who will be putting in shifts over the Yuletide festival and to celebrate their sacrifice he is, as you can see below, cooking for them at Downing Street.
Once again in 2025 as in every year since 2008, public sector productivity did not improve as it did in the private sector. Once again public sector workers got pay increases that outstripped we oiks in the private sector. Public sector workers enjoy taxpayer pensions we private sector scumbags can only dream of, the public sector workers get longer holidays and take more days off sick that we evil capitalists and on average public sector workers earn more than private sector workers.
And of course, it is the wealth creating private sector that pays for the whole shooting match. Over Christmas there will be public sector workers missing family time as they earn vast overtime payments. Meanwhile millions of small business owners (including myself) will also be working throughout the period to ensure we can continue to employ folks next year, to generate taxes via payroll and corporation tax. We will not get overtime payments nor will we be praised by Sir Keir.
And more of us will go bust next year thanks, in good part, to crippling extra taxes levied on businesses and employers as well as new workers rights legislation. Without small business folks soldiering on the UK economy would be totally screwed. But Sir Keir , like all of his MPs, has never run a business or risked his capital as we have. So, for him the true heroes are the purple haired diversity directors of the NHS.
Gosh, my very unfestive and un Christian hatred of this Government knows no bounds. I feel ashamed of it but I cannot hide it.
This Christmas, a lot of people will be working hard to keep our country safe, often away from their families.
