The View From The Montana Log-Cabin As Gold Fails To Get Through $3,400

By Nigel Somerville | Sunday 8 June 2025

Disclosure: I own shares in one or more of the stocks mentioned. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

Gold closed the week at $3,308 having attempted to surpass $3,400. But it simply didn’t have the legs and fell away again to close a little up from last week’s $3,288 but nowhere near the high point of just over $3,400. The correction marches on…..even though the yellow metal’s little brother (silver) saw a big long-term break out last week.
