Another day and another Chinese POS on the AIM casino has cut its cash dividend for reasons that one can only explain in one way. Today’s little shocker is Camkids (CAMK) a shoe producer from Fujian like Naibu (NBU) and those German listed Chinese frauds.

Another quality piece of financial journalism, highlighting dubious practices by this company.
I want to ask, what are the non executive directors, of this company and many others, that you have investigated, doing to safeguard shareholders interests?
Don’t they have legal responsibilities to ensure the good governance of the company? Provide objective and constructive criticism on ‘matters of concern’.
Particularly, auditing :- ensuring the company accounts properly to its shareholders by
presenting a true and fair reflection of its actions and
financial performance and that the necessary internal control systems are put into place and monitored
regularly and rigorously.

Hi TW, if you and I were in a race, and I won, and you were second, you would report that I finished last- but- one, and you came second. Both true, but both highly misleading, as is your column on Camkids. The Guy ( girl) above stated it uses the £6 m IPO money to return some divi, and pay for life style etc. It paid £8 in Tax in 2013. So much for your follower there TW. You highlighted this area in the thread you gave. Paying taxes doesn’t lie. You also mentioned it was a shoe mfr. Wrong. Sales were 38%, and clothes 53%, so strictly speaking it is a clothes manufacturer. Chinese cos. seem to think AIM investors want scrip shares, and pay a premium. I have written to CEO, and said the best way to increase shareholder value, is either by a divi re-investment scheme, or better, a share buy-back, and cancel scheme.A cut to 2p from 2.3 cash divi is no problem for me, since it annualises at 10%. I fully expect the FY divi to be at least 2.5p cash, giving 4,5p for the year. On yr forecast sp of 0.1p gives an annualised rate of yield of 4500%, You have fallen into the rather naive trap of tarring all cos, with the same brush.(ps I bet you were a PollyPeck investor). Now lets see who is nearer the mark come FYR. Hope you publish this. Margranco
