Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. Globo (GBO) has today served up calendar 2013 results that look as impressive as its luxurious new Athens offices that I visited and filmed yesterday. The numbers have wowed the City – the shares are up 14% at 53p. No doubt the analysts call this afternoon will be a love in with the management. But should any of the teenage scribblers actually want to ask a tough question or two here are 10 to get them started. Many thanks to Matt Earl, the dark destroyer, for this.

sounds well worth avoiding ………….its nice when stuff like this share in your portfolio goes up a lot ………but I hate that feeling even more when it loses half its value in a day when the penny finally drops . One for tight stops at the very least ……… but its outside trading hours announcements that I most fear and stops dont help with a large opening mark down .

Hey Tom,
My wife and I thank you.
Because of all your effort I have spent the last several months selling, selling, selling every stock I had – in other companies – and increasing my holding in Globo. We manage to get an average share price of 50p. Now we will hold onto this for the next 5 years and probably make 300% return.
As a token of gratitude I can only tell you that all your questions posted here have been answered in detail at Globo’s conference webcast (you can see it online at Globoplc.com).
Hope your returns will match mine. Best of luck with all your current and future investments.

So you now have your portfolio 100% invested in one stock? Truly you are a wise man. I should follow every word you say for it is golden.
As for ME driving the sp down. You credit me with more powers than I have but i am flattered to think you think me that powerful.

Dear Tom,
Thank you for posting my comment. I will say, that I did not think you would post it and for that I give you my respect.
I do not have 100% invested in Globo, but 46%. But I suppose now, as things stand its probably closer to 50%. Either way, whose counting a few percentage points?
I would rebuke your comment on diversification, but at the end of the day, there is more than one way to skin a cat. And obviously, you and I are different investors, so I wont try and explain my focused strategy.
One final comment that may be worth mentioning is that I actually had the pleasure of meeting you at your investor show! I’ll try and jiggle your memory, although I realise that it was a long day for you and you are forgiven if you do not remember me. I came to speak to you at the end of the first seminar “Value investing”, and I said that I had a large sum of my portfolio invested in Globo. You responded that I should stay for the next seminar (Bear Session). And I did! Well half of it, I suppose time is money and my time was best employed elsewhere.
Anyhow, thanks for posting my previous comment and all the best to you and your future investments.
Michael
Ps. Fancy a stock tip? Secretively invest in Globo ;)
