I may well be a dinosaur and am prepared to accept my irrelevancy but @Air_Chief is a cheapskate poltroon as you can see below.
First he asks me to reveal what was in Bearcast. Smoked out, he admits that he does not pay for it but thinks he has a right to know for free.
I disagree, so then he attacks the ShareProphets business model, that is to say, asking folks to pay for high quality premium content. He seems to think giving it away for free is the way forward. Does he not know we used to do that but Google steals all the ad revenue so this site was running at a loss.
These days ShareProphets has managed to give all its writers a pay rise and makes a small profit each month and subscriptions continue to grow. I reckon that paying journalists to produce quality content is the way forward. And it is sustainable as a business model.
But apparently paying your bills and making a small profit is "archaic". This poltroon tells me that he is a business guru and invited me to his club (Soho House) to enlighten me. Soho House = knobhead central. I have declined.
I have put this article outside the paywall so that the cheapskate can read it.
