And today’s bad news for Julie Meyer – Henry Gewanter has instructed counsel

Her company was struck off as authorised by the FCA on Friday. As you can see HERE. Yesterday I published the most damning of emails yet about Julie “lingerie on expenses” Meyer HERE. I am afraid, as she praises the good Lord with her fellow devout Christians at Holy Trinity Brompton this morning, I have more bad news.

You may remember that Meyer failed to pay PR man Henry Gewanter for his services. Three weeks ago he formally requested the £38,000 outstanding plus costs, asking that payment be made within two weeks. Just prior to the deadline Meyer responded with a laughable letter claiming that somehow Henry was being paid by me when working as her PR man and that this invalidated the contract. Meyer appears not to be using a lawyer on her bonkers defence and was given until 4PM Thursday to pay. She did not.

Thus, as Gewanter’s lawyers informed her would happen, Counsel has now been retained and Gewanter goes to court seeking the full amount plus costs.

Will Julie pay when she loses? The fact that she has told the IRS that she only has £500 (although not telling it about her Swiss earnings) plus the numerous CCJs and other claims against her suggests she may not. But if Gewanter has to make her bankrupt and send in bailiffs after winning he says that he will do so.

So far the costs of this case have been underwritten by me personally – to the tune of £3,000 -  but soon we will start to tap in to the amount pledged on a crowdfund and that will be exhausted.
