I mentioned last week that Deputy Sheriff Towers had a small matter which needed to be resolved with Slater & Gordon Solutions (SGH). As Tom Winnifrith readies his Castlemaine XXXX and popcorn for tonight’s excitement down under as Slater and Gordon publishes its results, I thought I’d pass on my experience of dealing with the UK outfit.

filthy lucre
Nigel, what was the point of putting the teaser out a week or so ago, implying that you
had something negative to disclose re: Slater and Gordon? only to tell us today that
it had gone fairly swimmingly.
I am pleased that they checked that you needed the hire car the whole time it was with you. It
might have struggled to collect the hire charges had you not needed the car.
A pretty pointless story, and I wonder if Tom put you up to implying something negative in the earlier article.
Please do not be a toady and print what he tells you to print.

No, Filthy, Tom’s perfectly capable of writing his own material all by himself.
In fact I smelt a rat but as at last w/e did not know how it would resolve. The happy outcome was good for all concerned. Perhaps I should be less cynical.
The follow-up was only fair to S&G who I think come out of the piece rather well (unlike the author!)
