As for Chris Oil, take a leaf out of Delia Smiths book “Let’s be ‘avin you! Come on!”
Did the Mrs buy you the lesson for your birthday because she was concerned you do not feed yourself properly when she is away. Or does she just want you to be less inept and make less of a mess of her kitchen?
I always do most of the real cooking, leaving the cakes and biscuits to wife and daughter to do. We gave our son a crash course in cooking before he went to university and he is regarded as being the best in his flat – I would hate to have to eat what the others produce then, but I understand most of it ends up on the walls and ceiling anyway – there was me thinking I was paying for a university, not a nursery school.
