TRAK

TrakM8 - now lets look at another acquisition and another er...lie

The real reason that shares in TrakM8 (TRAK) are going to crash is that whatever bull it spouts about earnings and profits it simply does not generate any meaningful free cashflow as I demonstrated yesterday HERE as I also showed what a duff deal the Monkey purchase was. But in order to give the impression of growth, companies like this always have to do lots of acqusitions so now let us look at the purchase of DCS Systems announced - with another lie - on 16th June 2015 about a month before directors dumped 1.22 million shares at just 157p.

Comments

  1. Clarification

You mentioned in yesterdays bearcast that you had ‘sheaves of stuff’ on Trakm8 sent from an anonymous bear that is truly fascinating. Is this the extent of the ‘sheaves’?

    TW: No

  2. Drunken Sailor

Amazon reviews of Road Hawk are a bit variable:

It is one of the more expensive products of its type on the market. Seems they may have some quality control issues. When it works and all the right bits come people seem quite pleased, but quite a lot seem to be coming faulty or failing after a short time. It does not look like there are any faked reviews here, unlike GBO and INTQ.

  3. Simple Moving Avarice

From the accounts it looks like the intangible assets are “goodwill” – being the amount they paid for businesses acquired in 2007 and 2014 and being slowly written off. Since they also owe roughly that amount to Mark Nelson, one assumes that he sold the other business to DCS but they hadn’t paid him yet. Possibly it was “RoadHawk” which seems to be a separate business which is colocated with DCS.

Interesting article about DCS HERE. They started the company with £50 in 2007.

You can see all six DCS employees HERE. It seems to be basically an online shop.

  4. People should concentrate on the products in this Company and they should realize that there are hundreds of outfits in the World producing these Telematics gizmo things, Companies in Japan, China, Europe and USA are all making this stuff. It´s just not a World beating product I´m afraid and that is why nothing special is going to happen with Trak.

  5. Richard.

    A) If I was short from before article 1 Id still be ahead
    B) There is no borrow you cannot short this stock
    c) I could not have been short at any stage
    d) I always declare positions and NEVER short
    e) So you are a laying smearing clueless wanker talking shite
    f) you have not shown that anything in my allegations is untrue
    g) do you have a position in TRAK to declare
    h) why dot you fuck off as we dont want or need your custom hereand go talk shite with other dicksplashes on the LSE asylum where you will be among like minded folks

    Best wishes

    Tom

  6. CLARIFICATION

Drunken Sailor just to note thatTrakm8 also have other products with better reviews. Their cheaper version the dc 2 appears to have very good reviews and similar specs.

  7. Tom to learn more about Trakm8 you can watch this strategy presentation filmed at their AGM in September:

  8. Someones stuck a little “Fyffes” sticker on the back of your shirt ……………just saying ……
