I refer readers to THIS PIECE a few minutes ago from Tom Winnifrith. It asks whether an entity called Marsden Resources Limited is, in fact, an indirect interest of David Lenigas. Now then, let's turn back to THIS RNS released by AIM-listed AfriAg plc (AFRI) in its former name of 3D Resources plc on 10 Dec 2012. It details a big issue of shares and various major shareholders.

That’s a very good question, Nigel. I wouldn’t be surprised if the concert party turns out to have owned 70% of this company at that time when you look deeper into the ownership of Eastland Investments and Amberdays.

None of this surprises me.
Check out Global Petroleum (GBP) news release today. Its more or less a very small cash shell now. They are issuing shares to directors in lieu of salary. Fair enough you may think. But the shares are trading at a 50% discount to net cash!

Both Amberdays and Eastland Investments are run by a Richard John Brooks who has had many directorships in the past – https://companycheck.co.uk/director/907853978/MR-RICHARD-JOHN-BROOKS/companies

Yes. Marsden Resources Ltd of IOM may be the only Marsden Resources Ltd. But it may not be. It is described as a local branch of a BVI company. And to find out if there is or was a BVI company of that name, you would have to fill in a form and post it off to the BVI. There is no online searchable register. The BVI is helpful like that. Therefore Open Corporates won’t pick up on it, if it exists. And since there is some evidence of the existence of one or more MRLs existing both before and after MRL shot briefly through the corporate firmament, and we know the IOM one was a branch of a BVI company, logic suggests the search should begin in the BVI!

@Nigel – I knew I could rely on you ;-)
One breakthrough – I have at last found a South African company which seems to be Afriag (Pty):

Ah Gavin van der Burgh is a director of AfriAg SA. Where have we heard that name before? Oh, that’ll be here:
http://www.bdlive.co.za/business/industrials/2014/02/23/murder-deceit-stalk-lonrho
“Mr de Robillard and his long-standing business partner, President Jacob Zuma’s eldest son Edward, tried last year to launch low-cost airline Fastjet in South Africa. This plan appears to have fallen apart.
Business Times is in possession of a recording in which Mr de Robillard, who until mid-2011 headed Lonrho’s global logistics company Rollex, and Gavin van der Burgh, former head of Lonrho’s fishing arm Oceanfresh, are thought to be discussing plans to murder current Lonrho executives Ben Ward and Francois Le Roux — evidently to thwart a forensic probe.
In the recording, Mr van der Burgh can be heard to ask: “Is everything under control with that matter relating to Mr Ward and Mr Le Roux ?” Mr de Robillard responds: “It certainly is … if the one is rocking up at you there tomorrow we would prefer to do him there and then.””

One interesting revelation in the Afriag (Pty) information document is that Fatty isn’t listed as the chairman, notwithstanding his RNS on 12/7/2013 which stated:
“On completion of the transaction, David Lenigas will be appointed as Chairman of AfriAg SA with AfriAg holding one of the three board seats on AfriAg SA.”
More recent changes are recorded so where is Fatty? Shirley we should be told?
