DUCK AND DIVE
Welcome back — and thank you to Ben for his coherent and literate efforts in your absence. I hope he gets well soon.
Will you please pass your copy through a proof reader before publication? I’m sure Nigel would do it for a small fee.
Rob
Thank god for that! Fed up of hearing about the latest rampty ramp of a junior resource stock with little to none fundamental analysis. If I wanted that I’d listen to the clown!!

Sorry to hear of Ben Turney’s illness . I hope he makes a full recovery . From a readers perspective I shall miss his large contribution to the site , particularly his shareholder activism , willingness to debate without always having to win at any cost and his ability to take a joke even when it came tenuously close to work place bullying . Despite what others may comment ………. he did a fine job of walking the editorial tightrope . A task severely underestimated by many and frequently described as a poison chalice what ever the publication concerned .

Like others I welcome you back to the helm, and would add my thanks to Ben for his sterling work, adding my wishes for a full recovery.
May we now, please, have some consistency in the editorial department with regard to the terminology applied to the shares you consider to be riskier than normal.? We have ‘car crashes’; are they better or worse than ‘train wrecks’? We have China stocks and Norfolk (Broads); both seem to be derogatory, but which is worse? What is the editorial difference between a ‘disaster’ and a ‘scandal’? We need a distinction between a ‘POS’ and either a ‘crock of poo’ or a ‘shite investment.
Can I assume that ‘the money tree’ can be found far, far away from ‘money heaven’, is your ‘barge pole ‘ longer or shorter than mine and can I be sure that you are buying your ‘bag of crisps’ at the supermarket rather than the outrageously expensive ones peddled by the likes of Wetherspoons?
I feel we need answers.
Simple Moving Avarice
I’ll add my good wishes for Ben. I think Wildrides has expressed my own feelings on that very well.
You definitely need a separate full-time editor. Your output is prolific and it is clear that a lot of typos are creeping in with the extra load of editing everyone else’s stuff as well. And maybe, just occasionally, you need a second opinion asking ‘is that really necessary’ when you push it a bit too far!
I’m behind you all the way on the focus on fraud busting and city-bashing. But I’d like to endorse the contributions from Chris Bailey (Financial Orbit) and Gary Newman from the non-ranting stable who seem to steady the ship with consistently good analysis.

Good news Tom – welcome back.
Love the comment about being more critIcal in regard to certain stocks in 2016.
The very next day Zak helps out the Twitter ramp brigade by doing positive technical analysis on the cash shell du jour – Silver Falcon!!
Roll on 1 Jan.
