Tom, i believe the football club you are referring to is the once might Sheffield Wednesday FC. I’m afraid we are not premier league but we are indeed in the north (mostly grim but not all). Wandisco UK office is in Sheffield, just opposite the train station (the usual home for world changing tech companies). I remember visiting them in my banking days to try and get some cash off them (certainly not lend to them like HSBC – no idea how they got that through credit). The share price at the time was around £13 i think. The chaps thought they were minted. Wonder how they feel now!

Tom, it appears it’s the registered office and the staff are moving to the newly redeveloped offices. In the 2014 accounts, note 20 operating leases Daniel Stewart group only had property leases expiring in less than one year with a £179,520 expense. There are two floors still available the new offices each with 4,028 sq feet at a rental of £50sq ft yr, so a £22,000 rental increase if they only take one floor.
Perhaps when you attend their office warming party you should pop in to see the first floor tenants…they are specialist consultants on Hadoop, That is spooky after your discussion about Hadoop in the podcast.
