Followers of worthless Old Mother Worthington (WRN) have been intrigued by a filing at Companies House on Friday “S1096 Court Order to Rectify” - oh dear perhaps we should not mention the word “court” to Worthington shadow director and ex Rangers FC (RFC) boss Craig Whyte. What is going on?

Worthington PLC's Entrepreneur Wales Awards, sponsored by Business Wales
Worthington Group PLC have not extended the Great British Entrepreneur Award franchise to Scotland this year. Perhaps the irony would be too blatant, given the unfortunate and very public entrepreneurial failings of Mr Craig Whyte.
There is also the more public knowledge of Worthington Group PLC’s financial interest in the Rangers FC liquidation, the ongoing Serious Fraud Office investigations and the Law Financial Ltd links between Whyte and Worthington north of the border.
Craig Whyte’s latest arrest and being charged with Serious Fraud in just the past couple of weeks is probably also a bit inconvenient.
However, the Welsh Government are valiantly investing their “Business Wales” budget as Headline Sponsor of The Entrepreneur Wales Awards, organised by Fresh Business Thinking Ltd.

Fresh Business Thinking Ltd is a great role model to be handing out awards to budding business owners, having never filed accounts (overdue since July 2014) or an Annual Return (overdue since November 2013). Anyway, congratulations to all the nominee entrepreneurs shortlisted below – there are quite a lot of them – who all need to remember that NOT paying Worthington Group PLC £140 to attend the awards would mean they are sadly NOT eligible to actually win an award, despite being nominated and innocently being used to add some kind of credibility to the Worthington Group PLC circus.
Which is an even bigger shame, as many of these entrepreneurs are probably more usually focused on investing their valuable funds to grow their own emerging business, rather than contributing towards the cost of Worthington Group PLC’s Law Financial Ltd claim for the disputed assets of Rangers (1/3rd of any settlement to Craig Whyte, 2/3rds – after costs – to WRN).
This may also upset entrepreneurs and small businesses in Scotland, who have just been told that an 11th hour claim by LFL / Worthington Group PLC has caused their scheduled payments, as approved by Liquidator BDO, to be put on hold.

Worthington Group PLC have selected / duped an interesting panel of judges and sponsors in to participating in this cut-down version of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, headed by a total nobody (Jonathan Davies, billed as “editor of leading entrepreneur and business title, Fresh Business Thinking”) with a glittering knees-up generously paid for by the Welsh Government, Redrow, Natwest, RedHanded Magazine, Kashflow Accounting, ACT, Finance Wales (Welsh European Funding Office), Cardiff Start and IndyCube.
Will Worthington Group PLC representatives, Aidan Earley, Craig Whyte, Doug Ware, Allan Biggar or even disgraced US Cycle Team Director (Lance Armstrong doping scandal) and significant WRN shareholder Johan Bruyneel be there on the night to hand out goings and shake hands with all these sponsors, nominees and winners?
Perhaps the glittering awards will even conveniently coincide with Worthington Group PLC finally being approved to come out of suspension by the FSA, adding a great sparkle of endorsement from the Welsh Government as naive private investors consider buying up WRN stock that may well be dumped by existing shareholders the very same day. More innocent PI’s drawn in to WRN, just as oblivious as the Welsh Government as to what, or indeed who, Worthington Group PLC really is?

Doug Ware and Craig Whyte finally find time to sign and send forgotten documents to Companies House!
Craig Whyte and Douglas Ware have been busy catching up on posting off boring paperwork after all. Seems they might have got a few details wrong though, struggling so hard to remember what really happened over the past few years to ensure transparency and accuracy in their reporting without hurting the value of the emerging conglomerate I am sure!

Debenture recorded against Worthington Group PLC (Jan/Feb 2013, Renatus Capital Ltd, £475,000) may have gone from “Satisfied” status to “Outstanding” this week? Isn’t that coincidentally the exact same amount as was paid for the Keighley land Worthington sold off earlier this year (after previously telling shareholders it was valued at £4m)?
Other charge showing as Outstanding against Worthington Group PLC is not, and has never been, recorded at Land Registry even though it refers to Land Title No. WYK398057 (F/H land and buildings to the south east of bradford road keighley west yorkshire / Persons entitled – Advanced Industrial Technology Corporation Limited). That’s the very land Worthington say they have now sold off.
Doug Ware and Richard Spurway both signed and submitted this legal charge on 13 August 2013. Did they file something by mistake, forget about it? Attention to detail was never Doug’s strong point! Ooops!
