The case for buying electric scooter vs petrol is not as good as it looks. I’ve owned both -though the electric one was a very cheap 30mph lead-acid tech with only 18 mile range. Now have Honda petrol. 50 mph 120mpg. That’s £2.70 for 100km, about half the £5.20 claimed by Vmoto and with much better top speed.
My petrol cost is a negligible £45 PA for 1000 miles. Even if I did 5k it would only be £225 PA. The scooter batteries would degrade pretty fast at that mileage so the replacement cost outweighs the electricity cost.
Vmoto don’t sell in UK but the price of an electric equivalent to my Honda that is sold here costs about £5k vs £2k for the Honda.

The company which is incorporated in Australia, although manufacturing in China, has been around for over 10 years;it has been listed on ASX since 2002;it used to make retro styled small petrol scooters-like old Vespas with a modest degree of success but seemed to fade away.
It seems to have sprung back into life with an offering of electric scooters with indicated increased production.
