WRN

Will Worthington Shares ever trade again? I think not…and win 2 of the day for the Sheriff of AIM

Over the past few weeks I have raised what I believe to be very serious concerns about fully listed Worthington (WRN). Its shares are currently suspended as the UKLA awaits a re-admission document and I do not expect them to ever trade again. Indeed they could be formally de-listed within weeks. And here’s why.

  1. Well done Tom. Great result and without having to face round two either. Hope he is as quick at paying as he is at changing his tune!

  2. turbograndad

    Tom,
    Well, well, well.

  3. Scott Marshall

Rather bizarre stand down from Early. Don’t be hoodwinked by the sudden nice guy approach, read through posts again what they have done here.

Just because someone suddenly plays Mr nice guy, doesn’t mean they now get off scot free

  4. Tom,

Trust you’ve cashed the cheque for your costs immediately!

Well get ready, it’s now time for Doug to be true to his word and step up to the (legal) plate.

    His last Q&A:

“Our deal partners and new senior appointees, expect us to deal with this forcefully and conclusively.”

BTW did you ever receive his service address?

    H69

  5. Mixed emotions.

Pleased for Tom doesn’t have to go through the stress of the court hearing, round two. But he seems to be being played here. “Blow a bit of smoke up his arse and make it look as he has won” seems to be the tactic here to try and get him back on side and ease off any negativity towards WRN. Will be interesting to see if Tom will ease off now they have “submitted” and personal contact has been made.

I don’t wish anyone to go through the legal stress and abuse TW has had from WRN and LSE morons. Just a slight concern that a top financial journalist can be won over by white flag, cosy phonecall or a cash contribution.

  6. Mr Moto

FFS. AE started the case & he dropped it after being thrashed & ordered to pay my costs last time. What can I do – go to the courts and say please can you force him to carry on? If he withdraws the case after I won I can do nothing to stop him other than celebrate a win.

For the record AE has not made any cash contribution to me nor would I accept one.

But for the record, the Judge said I won R1 and now the case against me has been dropped. I have won – what more do I want?

Will I go easy on WRN? No Aiden Earley knows full well that when it slips up I will be in it like a ton of bricks.

I now await April 13 with interest. Actually that is a bank holiday so make it April 14.

    t

  7. zeronegative

    Tom,

Can we have “Moron of the Week Quindell Special” as things are about to get interesting and the LSE will go into meltdown. Check out the latest post on the LSE…I won’t name him but it beggars belief.

    “Bordersman

Don’t forget merger/takeover of Innovation as an option. It is unthinkable at the moment, but think where Quindell may be in two months time. Then imagine a combined group, it could get Full St Ex Listing and conquer the world …..A very personal opinion”

  8. so is WRN still a fraud, and does AE et all still deserve to be inside?

or is this the end of it

  9. JSB

Do you see me withdrawing articles and running corrections and apologies? Is the article above not clear enough in its conclusion from me?

    t

  10. well it sounds like AE is hoping it will all just go away by playing nice.

don’t give up on the twat

  11. DUCK AND DIVE

“For the record AE has not made any cash contribution to me nor would I accept one.”
    —————
Of course not – but hopefully he did pay your solicitor and barrister costs, as awarded.

I’m a tad concerned that you don’t seem to have called Worthington a “fraud” for the past couple of weeks though. Have you agreed not to do so? Or will you set my mind at rest and re-state your opinion?

Great news about Earley’s legal climbdown. What’s left in the fighting fund for the next case? Or could you use it to sue AIM Regulation for dereliction of duty? Anyways, we donors could probably get over not receiving a personal acknowledgement if you periodically publish the state of the fighting fund account.

  12. D&D

Personal acknowledgements and rewards on earth for the virtious are on the way. As ever…I am waiting for Darren to do something. Assuming AE pays the FF is in good shape :)

As to WRN it is in hand. My hands are not tied by the company. Leave it with me :)

    T

  13. Incidently as a fully listed company Worthington is required to produce audited annual accounts not later than 5 Months from its year end,its year end being Sept 30th as Worthington changed the date of its year end in 2013.This is a one month shorter time period than that allowed for AIM listed companies. These accounts should have been presented not later than 1st March. No results appear to have been presented.
The fact that the company is suspended on another unconnected matter does not remove this obligation under Main Market rules.

Incidently did AE indicate if he returned any commission he may have obtained regarding the Rangers pension deal to the Jerome fund.

The problem that Worthington may have in presentation of its accounts currently is that regardless of whether the £3m from the Rangers deal is returned in full Worthington has in addition a significant historic pension deficit and on going funding obligations left over from the original “train dwek” textile companies. It is difficult to see where the funds are coming from to support its obligations based on its most recent accounts.
There seems to be uncanny similarities between Worthington and the old FII/Lotus shoe company that Doug Ware and others became involved in 15 years or so ago with its terminal pension problems.

  14. Great result Tom.

But the chap you rightly labelled a ‘scumbag’ just two weeks is not going to pay your costs in a million years!

Mr Earley is a fraudster through and through. He’s adept at placating folk, which is exactly what he’s done here.

Sadly for the pensioners involved the Jerome pension fund will be looted whether WRN is listed on AIM or not.

  15. Jock

just in case he has forgotten that he has until 4 pm tomorrow, my lawyer has just sent his lawyer a gentle reminder

    T

  16. barry smith

    Good stuff
But reading AE comment just make me feel sick
“A little too close to comment on the Rangers “ stuff. Jesus wept that’s understatement of the century. See you in court for that fraud soon shitforbrains.
As for the comments about the pensioners, that’s even more sickening. He basically trying turn around the upcoming wrn crash and blame you tom for the cash these poor pensioners will loose.
    The guy has no shame.
Look forward to your next assault on these fraudsters

  17. Well done. I don’t know whether Worthington will see the light of day again, I hope not.

Even if it does, shareholders now know what they are buying into or holding onto. You have to be of legal age to trade shares, successful shareholders live in the land of grown ups, It isn’t my fault nor anyone else that these immature naive morons (who had an education free for all) continue to buy or hold POS like this.

Another one down, back on the road to find the next one.

    Well done, great journalism

  18. What are you afraid of?? Maybe you are a shorter .as they are now saying? What’s the coo? On eveil knievl you twonkbollock…

  19. Sweet Karolina

It’s gone 4pm. Did he cough up and have you made sure the cheque won’t bounce?

We would not want you to be like poor Doug Ware who had his holiday ruined by Aidan not being good for the money.

  20. “Leaks” from new website content out:

    https://vimeo.com/120796159

    password1

If all these deals are actually already in place, what happened to the RNS’???

    H69

  21. It would be incredibly nice to invite AE (and the whole Worthington board in fact) to pizza at RMPC and then invite them to write a TripAdvisor review….

  22. Tom,

Has anyone ever seen Doug Ware? Does the guy exist, have you ever spoken to or met him?
