Another classic podcast. Bravo sir!
“DDD might as well stand for Delightful Dog’s Dinner.
It’s a keep-the-lights on placing. I have to question whether this is the sort of investment that the AIM casino really should be celebrating. What is the point of having a placing which only keeps the lights on, allows the parasite crony capitalist advisers and directors to take their fees for another nine months, but it doesn’t actually give the Group headroom to grow? What is the point of this as a company?
I don’t know what DDD does, I don’t care. I would not invest in it, it seems to me to be uninvestable.”

Taken from “ Facts about Quindell rather than rumour” site.
Headed :- Return on NARS Quindell investment.
“Shares acquired on the 24th and 30th September 2013 using 56,510,287 shares in Quindell to finance the deal. These taking into account the 1 for 15 share consolidation and a share price of 91p would be valued today at £3.4m.
Quindell sold the NARS shares for £7.1m.
This based on today’s share price is a return of £3.7m. As I stated in my previous blog, hardly a fire sale.”

However…….
Quindell RNS Wed, 25th Sep 2013 :-

At the closing mid market price on 23 September 2013 for Quindell shares of 16.25p, the share exchange values each ordinary share in NARS at 84.0 pence
Quindell RNS Friday 27-Sep-13
Further Investment in NARS
At the closing mid market price on 26 September 2013 for Quindell shares of 16.5 pence, the share exchange values each ordinary share in NARS at 85.3 pence.
Quindell RNS Thu, 5th Mar 2015
ordinary shares in NARS was sold on 4 March 2015 at a price of 65 pence per NARS share.

Far be it for me to question the arithmetic of the noble ‘Facts without Spin’ Greets, but:-
If I buy shares @ 84/85.3 pence and then sell @ 65 pence ain’t I showing a loss on the transaction?
Or is this how 2+2=5 really works?

Daniel Stewart in their results said this :
“Assets under administration were GBP197 million at 31 March 2014, down from GBP300 million in 2013, due significantly to the decline in the value of one holding in the portfolio.”
Any idea which holding that was ?

DDD stands for dynamic digital depth [yes, sadly,I own the shares].What it does is convert two-dimensional images into 3D for use on computers, mobiles,,tablets and TVs.Its main success was a deal with Samsung for the use of its software on their laptops. It’s a genuine company that has been around for some time.I have met the management and they are good people. Sadly,it fell on hard times as laptop sales fell because people moved to tablets, mobiles and other devices.I am hoping that the placing will succeed and that the company will make use of the breathing space to put itself up for sale – I still believe that its intellectual property has some value.

I get the impression that the Quindell Echo/Steamy comic is actually some kind of piss-take – the LSE love it as it only says positive things.
I think if World War 3 happened and most of the population were wiped out this wannabe journalist would claim it would be great news for Quindell. Infact, everything that happens regarding Quindell is great news. Strange how he hasn’t mentioned Tosca dumping all its stock – quite happy to boast about it weren’t you Neil.
The site is a complete joke – just look at the comments section – 0 comments except for the writer Neil.
Quindell shares down 55% since QPPSAG formed. Any comment Steamy/Quindell Echo??
How did your xmas 2014 prediction end up Steamy? Yep – you only missed by £14.60
Geoff
While you freely admit your connections with Mossad, CIA, and others, you never mention the Kim family. When are you going to come clean?
Mr KAB
I think they are comparing oranges and lemons using smoke and mirrors, the adjusted for the 15:1 consolidation closing price on 24th Sept was 255p, this would give an equivalent acquisition cost of £9.6m, however the deal was done in shares not cash and as we know the share price of QPP is not what it was, so putting todays price of QPP onto the deal done in Sept 2013 lowers the acquisition cost by a factor of 2.8 (255/91=2.83), if you deduct the proceeds of this weeks sale ( £7.1m ) from the historic acquisition costs (£9.6m) then even I can work out that’s a loss of £2.5m , divide that by the number of shares in NARS ( roughly 11m shares from £ 7.1m / £0.65 ) then that’s a loss per share of just over 22p – pretty much the same numbers Alcira – just my 2p worth
filthy lucre
Is 2 + 2 = 5 really still relevant? ‘Alcira’
‘Mr 2 + 2 = 5’ is off the scene, and has been for some time.

Tom, we have told you many times to get MOSSAD to sell your property on the Isle of Man. Ha ha.
All joking aside, the Quindell shareholders on the LSE board, need to be sectioned under the mental health act. They are totally stupid.
Sweet Karolina
Alcira,
The morons’ arithmetic is correct (and so it yours) but all the morons are really saying is how badly QPP’s share price has tanked since the acquisition of NARS. I just hope NARS had the sense to sell the QPP shares they got in return for 25% of the company, before the QPP share price tanked.

Hunter Resources used to be Gem Biofuels, failed at growing Jatropha so Hunt (I think the chairman) tells shareholders it’s difficult raising finance for agricultural so they were going into natural resources. At the same time Hunt is chairman at Noventa a failed tantalum miner, he tells its shareholders it’s difficult to raise finance for natural resources so they were trying agriculture and became Paragon Resources. After more than a year of searching and buying into Greenstar Resources, owned by Hunt amongst others, agriculture turns out to be not right for them so it’s back to natural resources. They are in the process of acquiring Tana minerals a director of which is Andrew Richards also a director of Hunter Resources. One to watch.

Great post – should be on all BBs for each of those companies; sounds like a serial snout trougher…
