You would have thought that with all his court experience (you know the jail term for accounting fraud, being disqualified as a director, etc), Worthington (WRN) shadow director Aiden Earley would be able to serve an injunction properly. Oh no…

Oh dear. This really is getting more amusing by the day.
I doubt WRN investors are laughing. Hopefully something will be done to prevent a similar fraud happening in future. Somehow, though, I doubt it.

Sounds, about right, dumb & dumber, doh, say some more prayers.

Ooops… If I understand things correctly you need to be properly served and given three clear working days before any hearing. Weekends and part days do not count. If that is correct then since the date set for the hearing is the 11th it would appear you have only two clear working days. Presumably they will have to reschedule.

Ha Ha, what a bunch of cowboys. It was all fearporn. Have they not realised yet, that Tom cannot be frightened by fraudsters.

Does anybody know how much the court charges to get a injunction? Courts are a cash cow for the government and they will not do nothing for free.

Aid and Craig won’t be having a good day today.
They will be furious that there foes King and Murray are back on the board at Rangers, Whyte hates Paul Murray. Imagine if they start picking over the remnants of the Whyte era, be interesting what happens with the Worthington/Rangers claim now

Service of application where application made without notice
23.9
(1) This rule applies where the court has disposed of an application which it permitted to be made without service of a copy of the application notice.
(2) Where the court makes an order, whether granting or dismissing the application, a copy of the application notice and any evidence in support must, unless the court orders otherwise, be served with the order on any party or other person –
(a) against whom the order was made; and
(b) against whom the order was sought.
(3) The order must contain a statement of the right to make an application to set aside(GL) or vary the order under rule 23.10.
It looks like the upcoming court date is Tom’s opportunity to have the injunction set aside. It looks like the injunction was served without notice, and to stop him using confidential information. Let’s see what the court decides.

Good luck next week in court (though I don’t think you will need it).
Please bring back the moron competition as reading the entries used to make my day and I suspect many others. Just to encourage you.

If you want good News
all I can offer is that I spoke to a hedgfund owner today and he offered to buy my stake… He thinks very good chance of £10++ on relisting and risk reward is good. He also indicated that in 20years+ experience frauds do not happen with FCA looking through deals and that fraud element is highly unlikely.

Incredible – couldn’t make it up . . .

Lost in Denmark,
Ditto your sentiments – very easy to have a weekly competition just for WRN alone…

Tom,
Despite incorrect service are proceedings still going ahead Wednesday?
Does it also mean that you are not required to comply with the injunction within 48 hours of (improper) service?

We WANT to go to Court to get the injunction overturned and so we accepted late in the day improper service (ie a few scrappy emails sent to my lawyers) and have said we go ahead and will see the bitchez at the High Court on the 11th.

Tom,
Thought that would be the case, thanks for clarifying.
Best of British (although if there’s any justice you shouldn’t need it, clear public interest given AE’s links to WRN, a Plc with at least hundreds of shareholders)

Tom,
Does/will the injunction also cover documents in the names of companies associated with Earley like Liberty Capital Markets, Regenisis etc, as hiding in the background in this way is his usual modus operandi?
I sincerely hope not…

Ian Hislop would be proud (now there’s a thought…)!
