Some commodities have seen large price fluctuations in recent times, and especially those which look likely to play a significant part in future energy supply or the tech that we will be using.
Uranium investment company Yellow Cake (YCA) has announced its results for its half-year ended 30th September 2024 including noting a net asset value of 614p per share and that demand for uranium is set to grow significantly but that supply faces challenges. This is positive from a 540p share price here.
Yellow Cake (YCA) has seen a significant pullback in the price of its shares recently, but rather than seeing that as a cause for concern, I would view it as a buying opportunity.
Uranium investment company Yellow Cake (YCA) has announced it has taken delivery of 1,526,717lb of triuranium octoxide (U3O8) from Kazatomprom at the Orano storage facility in France and that it “currently holds 21,682,318 lb of U3O8 in storage in Canada and France”. How does this compare to a current above 600p share price, £1.3 billion market cap?
Back in September I wrote a piece on ShareProphets outlining why I was bullish on uranium and how to potentially take advantage of any upwards movement in its price.
Nuclear power has been in the news a fair bit recently, with a number of countries now looking on it more favourably as part of the efforts to reach net zero and produce greener energy.
