SAB Miller (#SAB) pretty bullish FY trading statement

Back on the final day of January earlier this year I asked the question whether it was ‘time to get the emerging market beers in?’ This slightly strange title question was a reference to the global brewer (with a particularly large geographic focus on Africa and Latin America) SABMiller (SAB), which, at that time, was buffeted by emerging markets concerns and kicking around the £27 share price level.
Although the share price of SAB Miller (SAB), the global beer business, has fallen almost 25% from its peak price of 3683p, it still does not look obviously cheap on an estimated 19 times earnings for the current year. Its prospective estimated dividend yield is only 2.4%.
Emerging markets have had a ‘hero to zero’ moment recently. Volatility will continue but they are not going away. Collectively, are they likely to take an even higher share of global GDP over time? You bet they will.
