LUCE

LUCE

Luceco – after some shares sales last month, now “CEO Retirement” announcement…

We had been bullish on shares in ‘electrification’ products and systems company Luceco (LUCE) but took more than 70% offer price to bid price profits at 267p on the N50 website last month including noting that they were still below 160p as recently as March this year. They since though continued further upwards, most recently closing at 290p, and now an announcement including that the company “continues to expect adjusted operating profit to exceed £40m, with the potential for further significant outperformance dependent on Demand Flexibility”… and the shares currently falling to around 260p?

LUCE

Luceco – a “well positioned for another year of encouraging growth and strategic progress” Buy

‘Electrification’ products and systems designer and manufacturer Luceco (LUCE) has issued an “H1 2025 Trading Update” including noting “adjusted operating profit expected to be in the region of £13.5m-£13.8m, up approximately 10% on the prior year” and “confidence in delivering further progress this financial year and beyond”. The following is why that suggests upside from a current below 140p share price.

LUCE

Luceco – a trading recovery Buy?...

Luceco (LUCE) recently announced results for the first half of 2024 including emphasising “adjusted EPS: 5.7p (H1 2023: 5.0p) up 14.0%” despite only now noting “with UK interest rates easing we are hopeful that confidence in our sectors of the economy will begin to return”. From a 154p offer price, we see upside potential from its performance despite challenging market conditions with further potential on some meaningful macroeconomic improvement.

LUCE

Luceco – profit warning and is the likely overall customer destocking really “unchanged”?

Previously writing on wiring accessories, EV chargers, LED lighting and portable power products company Luceco (LUCE), in July with the shares at 111.4p I noted that the macroeconomic outlook could well result in further impacted demand rates and concluded continue to avoid. With the shares having last closed at 74p, what of now a “Q3 2022 Trading Update”?

Are you sure that the Government is financing the deficit by printing money? I understood it was financing the deficit by borrowing money in the gilt market, which you also disapprove of? I also understand that the Bank of England is selling its gilt holdings, thereby reducing the money supply. I think you may possible be mistaken.

What an excellent diatribe against a stupid cow who seems to know fuck all about the real world, just like most MP's but most certainly Labour ones. That was the ultimate insult from her - odious in the extreme. Maybe she'd like to donate a percentage of her fat taxpayer-funded salary to help keep the pub going and give the guy a well-earned break? I won't hold my breath though.
