ECR Minerals and Smarter Web Company – the bitcoin spoofery continues

Scouse whinger Doc Holliday will be on the phone or email within minutes of this article appearing saying that he still cannot afford a few quid a month to read my articles but he’s convinced that I am being beastly about ECR Minerals (ECR) where his all too brief boardroom spell is over but he still has shares. For once he’s right.

ECR

Breaking EXPOSE: Doc Holiday’s ECR Minerals swerves a deal with a paedophile and Clarissa the clown

Just when you think that the world of small caps cannot get any more sordid along comes this. It truly is shocking. On May 13 Doc Holliday run ECR Minerals (ECR) announced that it had called off talks about buying Maximus Minerals Ltd 10 weeks after announcing the all share deal at 0.33p. It cited “certain unforeseen structural challenges regarding Maximus that will increase the complications of successfully concluding any such transaction”. That is one way of putting it.

ECR

Doc Holliday pumping and dumping at ECR: there is a case for the defence

As you can see below, Mike Whitlow/Doc Holliday recorded an interview on behalf of ECR Minerals (ECR), which he now runs, which went out on November 21. The interviewer was Andrew Scott who is also a NED at ECR so it is not exactly a full on Paxman style grilling. So this hard sell recording went out on Thursday, this morning ECR announced a subscription, raising £950,000 gross at 0.33p.

ECR

Tom Winnifrith podcast interview with Doc Holliday of ECR Minerals

The old scouse scallywag was in fine form. I make no secret of strongly disapproving of a couple of his business associates but Doc seems almost plausible on the matter of ECR Minerals (ECR). My stockbroker is instructed to have me shot if I try to buy shares in a non dividend payer but there is, I suppose, a case here for having a small dabble ahead of Doc's share issuance target day. Forgive a brief phone interruption, enjoy.

ECR

Doc Holliday to run AIM listed ECR Minerals – you could not make this up

ECR Minerals (ECR) is almost out of cash, if it does not raise cash very soon by issuing new shares it will go bust. Look at the last results and even Stevie Wonder can see what a terrible mess it is in. This is not opinion it is fact. Spiv broker Novum Securities will need to be doing yet another deeply discounted placing PDQ to keep the lights on. But it gets worse, there are management changes.

RIP Craig Brown – as ECR shares slip the 1 key man risk in a small cap

We have sad news today from ECR Minerals (ECR), the sudden death at the weekend of its CEO Craig Brown. I have known Craig for almost two decades since his days floating what was Kryso Resources, now China NonFerrous Gold.  When I was at a low point Craig was not - like most folks - someone who joined in the kicking. That marked him as a decent guy in my book and I returned the favour when he fell out with China NonFerrous.  Naturally, my thoughts at a time like this are with his daughters and other family members especially as  Craig was only 51.

ECR

ECR Minerals – a speculative buy?

Shares in gold-focused ECR Minerals (ECR) have recently risen strongly to a current 1.7p offer price but that follows not having previously joined in with the gold surge – they having commenced this year at 0.725p and the market cap is still comfortably below £10 million...

'Nuggety Nature' of its Site in Australia gives Hope to this Hard-Working Gold Seeker

Hello, Share Primers. Say what you like about gold explorers, there are a few that try really hard and deserve success. It’s a risky business, prospecting, but the rewards, if they come at all, can be dazzling. And it’s a reasonable strategy to have at least some fun money in this field, given the rosy prospect that some commentators expect on this scintillating website for a rising gold price...

You'll Need to Be Brave to Invest in this Gold Explorer - But You Never Know...

Hello, Share Travellers. Though the Footsie is moving up, there’s scant news to keep things bubbling along even faster. As usual, at this time of year, more traders are on hols with their kids and volumes go down. So by way of a change, may I bring to your attention a gold explorer in Australia. Sounds risky - and of course it jolly well is...

Do You Feel Lucky, Punk? This Small Gold Explorer May Hit the Jackpot - or Not

Hello, Share Turners. Say what you like about Fulham-headquartered ECR Minerals (ECR), it is a company which likes to keep its shareholders up to date for every step of the way. It seems to me hardly a week goes by without it posting some news or other. The danger is that we tire of reading everything and consequently miss something which is important...

Hopeful Samples Might Lead to a Glittering Share Rise for this Aussie Prospector

Hello Share Treaders. Down under there is a precious metals company called ECR Minerals (ECR). With gold values possibly set to rise in a difficult environment for most other shares, it might pay to have a gander at this one. ECR’s wholly-owned Australian subsidiary Mercator Gold Australia has Avoca, Bailieston, Moormbool and Timor gold exploration licences in Central Victoria.

Why am I surprised at yet another farcical episode on the London market? As Tom has suggested for over 2 years, this stock has clearly always been one for one to add to their bargepole list. While I doubt that anybody reading this website would own GEX shares, unfortunately numerous BB mugs will have been lured into buying shares in this joke company. I understand that the bar for regulatory action by the FCA on Main Market listed shitcos appears to be set extremely high, but surely it should be taking action against companies who engage in such placings. The culture of companies materially misleading investors ahead of placings, while sitting on adverse price sensitive information, must be rooted out if London is to be considered a credible financial centre.

From the January 2026 peak some of my gold and silver stocks are down by up to 50 %.However the intrinsic npv of these Companies at much lower gold and silver prices leaves these mines at a huge discount based on the current sp.I remember being in cey in 2008 when the price tanked but I stayed in because the gold had not gone away….

You have just shown yourself to be needing as much psychiatric treatment as PM with that diatribe. I am no fan of Trump by nobody of sound mind carries those thoughts at the front of their mind.I doubt you know anything about the Epstein files and with Trump being as litigious as he is you could be in bother with defamatory comments like that.

Surely one is always underwater when buying shares because of the spread? Maybe the spread is greater for an AQSE stock than a FTSE 100 stock but you'll always be slightly under water, hopefully just short term.
