I think a number of commentators did point out that gold was over extended when it suddenly shot up to 5500.However since then there has been a consistent failure to assess the impact of the ongoing wars.In both Ukraine and the gulf there has been a perception that the wars would be over quickly.I dont know what is going to happen but unless there is a fundamental change in world events the short term pressure on miners will surely be negative .The impact of the speed of the fall in Gold has been to materially effect the free cash flow being generated.
I would have thought that it was in PB's interest to investigate the data collection done by UJO. I guess it won't make any difference to the company's fortunes as the people concerned have now left but it could be seen as good housekeeping. I think the balance between political tripe and share comment may be slipping again. There is no evidence whatsoever of political fraud in US elections on either side. MAGA Republicans, egged on by Trump wasted millions of dollars looking for it and bringing frivolous electoral lawsuits after his defeat by Biden in 2020 and not a single one came to trial. They were all thrown out for lack of evidence. The Big Lie was just that, a lie.
