I start with base rates, oil and gold. I mention Amaroq (AMRQ) then the £1 billion Atlas Metals (AMG) scandal and who should go to jail and then turn to a DOS attack and reveal the winner o the Greek Hovel short contest, thanking all who made a wise choice.
September-announced half year results from housebuilding group Vistry (VTY) were headlined “Strengthening the platform: Repositioning Vistry for Sustainable Success”. How’s that looking with now a further “Trading Update”?
I know he is talking his own book and he is always bullish but humour me, as a man already hugely overweight in gold and staying there, and explain exactly why Schiff is wrong this time. The great libertarian opines...
Its owner seems like a good chap who shares my views on Emma Reynolds MP. He deserves your support if you are in the area. He has posted on Facebook:
Amaroq (AMRQ) has issued an announcement on its Maarmorilik area including the past-producing Black Angel mine and results from its 2026 exploration programme. What’s the significance from the 98p share price, £457 million market cap at time of writing? The shares are now 106p!
Today’s admission that the £1 billion RTO of worthless UPSA into Atlas Metals (AMG) has fallen apart should shock nobody given the shocking revelations on this website about the chancer behind it and the underlying assets. But advisor Strand Hanson is , at least feigning, surprise. I have dropped it an email urging it to resign now and to investigate its own staff with a view to sacking them in time for Christmas.
I am berated by reader Duckn’Dive for not flagging up the Q3 trading statement from Croda (CRDA) in today’s RNS highlight. This, he says, is down to my hated of his beloved Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX). Actually it is young Steve who selects the RNS’s to flag up. But if DucknDive insists I comment who am I to refuse..
Most recently on online fashion retailer ASOS (ASC), in September I wrote ‘emphasises “significant improvement in profit”, but is there any profit at all?’ and concluded to avoid with the shares up towards 480p. What about now its year ended 30th August 2026 results and the shares at 440p?
So my 10 year old son had a chance to question our local Labour MP. I swear I did not put my boy up to it but he asked:
The idea that a technically insolvent business with an asset bought for £1,000 from a related party two years prior could be worth £1 billion is bonkers. Yet in June 2025 Atlas Metals (AMG) saw its shares soar by 300% to 40p as it claimed that it would be buying that business, Universal Pozzolanic Silica Alumina Ltd or UPSA, for £1 billion in shares and raising £30 million on that valuation. Today that deal has collapsed. This is a monstrous scandal and folks should be going to jail
Ariana Resources (AAU) commences its “Quarterly Activities Report Ended 30 Sept 2026” describing itself as “advancing towards gold production at its 100%-owned 1.6 Moz (pre-tax NPV10: US$1.056 billion) Dokwe Gold Project in Zimbabwe” – seemingly in exasperation at a 1.3p share price, £35 million (equating to $47 million) market cap.
‘X-ray screening and inspection systems’ company Image Scan Holdings (IGE) has issued a “Trading Update” headlined “Strong profit, sustained growth and a platform for further value creation” and what of the shares currently approaching 8% higher at 3.5p in response?
Describing itself as “England’s leading winemaker”, Chapel Down Group (CDGP) has announced a proposed capital raising of up to £6 million for “investment in a new soft pressing facility at the company’s Tenterden winery, together with the additional working capital required to support the increased level of traditional method sparkling production resulting”. What about a current 44p share price in response?
I start with football then move on to Medpal AI (MPAL) and Petra Diamonds (PDL). And now it is off to Cambridge.
Most recently on information technology consultancy staffing group FDM (FDM), in August with the shares falling back down below 120p I concluded the valuation and outlook meant just on the recovery watchlist. What of now a “Trading Statement” including “momentum in customer engagement has continued, and at 31 October 2026 the number of consultants assigned to clients has increased to 2,070” and the shares currently up in response but to still just above 104p?
