Hello Share Babes. I don't know what I would have done without Tesco (TSCO) this Christmas. Well, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. But it certainly beat most firms I've dealt with so far this Yuletide for super service.

I’m really not a fan of Tesco.
Dismal unexciting Christmas offer. Uninspiring Xmas TV commercial campaign….. the best they can come up with ….. a Roast Turkey! Yeah! That’s ground breaking! Compare to Lidl’s and Aldi’s TV commercials, I know which I think will be more effective in getting folk through the doors and spending!
My own observations of our three ‘local’ Tesco stores trading over the past couple of weeks, ain’t giving much cause for confidence, either! They just aren’t that busy!
I wouldn’t be surprised that Tesco’s out of the big four, may well be reporting the most disappointing figures in the New Year, accelerating the already flagged need to strengthen the balance sheet. Worst case scenario, passing the the final dividend and heavily discounted rights issue?
And of course, lets not forget the accounting scandal……
Tesco accounts face new enquiry today http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-30575040
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has announced an inquiry into Tesco’s accounts for 2012, 2013 and 2014.
The FRC is an independent disciplinary body for UK accountants and actuaries.
Potential that a whole series of years results having to be restated?
Turning things around are going to test the board and senior management, big time!
I certainly wouldn’t be tempted in buying Tesco shares for quite sometime to come.

Hello Allers. Not entirely 100% sure of Tesco, but where they fail, so do all the other supermarkets in my view. We’ll see.
