I happen to think that Ortac (OTC) is a well-run company with some interesting assets but today’s £500,000 placing at 0.25p shows in the starkest of terms why the AIM Cesspit so urgently needs reform to stop the systematic buggering (without the lubrication of profit) of private investors.

luckerly I got in at 0.23, but it wiped out my profit straight off . Unlike you Tom I do blame Ortac to a degree . If they did not sell to a flipper they should have been able to negotiate the price of the placing better . They gave away money at a time when the shares were in demand again , and that cost the company alot of loot that would have supported the Balence sheet . Poor show. If it was their own money they would have tried harder for a better deal.
