Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
Our resident Fastjet (FJET) owning lunatic Duck & Dive yesterday predicted an RNS from this piece of Turkish imminently claiming that it would show what a "twit" I was with good news. Well D&D was half right there was an RNS. Sadly, for him, it is not good news. Duck remains the twit, I continue to call this one right.

“As we speak Fastjet has negative net current assets…”
This is not a statement of fact. It is your assumption and should be clearly qualified as such for it not to constitute market abuse.
“…and is going to burn cash between now and Christmas.”
Possibly – but it has sufficient cash to meet operating requirements (RNS 7.3.16). It may also generate some cash in peak season (summer and Xmas), especially given its announced cost-cutting programme and its ongoing programme of route rationalisation – and its busy new routes into Johannesburg. Try making some dummy bookings on their website in July and see what ticket price is quoted. Since Easter, a number of routes have been running at increased load with prices well above the headline earlybird tariff. By the way, do you know how much cash they earned over Easter? Thought not.
“As such it would be trading whilst insolvent…”
So you’re backtracking on last night’s bearcast wherein you stated twice, unequivocally, that Fastjet were insolvent?
“…if it did not plan an equity funding”
Fastjet has already said (RNS 7.3.16) that it may raise funds to provide greater headroom. Should they do so, equity funding is not the only option.
Incidentally, you said last night that there was no reason for yesterday’s 15% rise in Fastjet’s SP. People who research this stock properly know of at least two possible reasons for it.
