Apax Partners has announced that it now “does not intend to make an offer” for Pinewood Technologies Group (PINE) having previously consented to an announcement last month that, following a number of earlier approaches, it was in discussions “regarding a possible cash offer of 500 pence per share… with… an unlisted partial share alternative”. It though states its latest is “in light of the prevailing challenging market conditions”, so what about Pinewood Technologies shares currently slumping back to around 300p in response and despite having been above 500p even in September last year?
