Ashtead (AHT) offers rental opportunities in “a full range of construction and industrial equipment across a wide variety of applications to a diverse customer base”. I can remember about twenty years ago, when I used to sit opposite someone who was convinced that it would go bust but it avoided that, and the-then sub 10p share price hit over a sixty quid level a couple of years ago. Sadly, I was never clever enough to get involved in the stock during the glory years, but that also means I have no exposure when it announces a bit of a mixed update this morning…
