Given the form of David Lenigas and others in lying about Horse Hill perhaps he might come clean on exactly how much stimulation was needed at the site in light of evidence from the protesters who are plaguing his operations.

Unless all of you that play Oil can get your beloved petrodollar back on the rails if there really is an ocean of Oil in them there hills I defy anyone to get a margin out of it.
I don’t see the petrodollar coming back anytime soon, so if a massive discovery really is announced you can expect the poor old Saudi (God bless em(sic)) to be pumping even more production
As Men in the future will look back in time, to the days of Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Men of the west, they could be proud then, those dying days of the petrodollar, .

Don’t infer too much from “a smell”. All Oil & gas wells give off an odour which people who are not familiar with the industry would describe as strong. Just consider the smell you get at a petrol station and that’s from a refined product.
Obviously a lot more data is required but 485bbls/day for a free flowing onshore UK well can be considered a positive result.

The smell was described as a “gas” smell. It stopped the tree hugger in his tracks, but did not stop them playing hoopla on the road in front of the tanker. The hardy police lady was not stopped in her tracks by it, so she was obviously far tougher than the tree hugger, but she also described it as a “gas” smell.
I have no idea what well stimulants smell like. But natural gas, used in ordinary cookers, actually has no smell, they add that so you can smell it if you leave the gas on.
Tom clearly suspects it was a Lenigas smell. What is potentially more interesting is the amount of protest going on over a poxy little well tucked away out of sight in a wood. You would think there was a nuclear weapons silo or a nerve agent factory there. The protests may well fizzle out, but tree huggers seem to have an inexhaustible amount of time on their hands to keep this sort of shit up for ages. Our brave and hardworking boys and girls in blue (I do not recall even Tom slagging of that particular part of the public sector) are under a lot of financial pressure and I would expect that sooner or later The companies are going to be invited to either provide their own suitably qualified security or pay for the police overtime – that would hurt the margins quite a bit.

Apparently their is a Horse Hill public meeting on Sunday (28th Feb) at Hookwood Memorial Hall in Horley between 4.30-6.00pm, it will be discussing the latest news and fracking its organised by Frack Free Surrey.
Perhaps the Horse Hillers could clarify what stimulation prior this public meeting!
I wonder if they will send a representative so to get the local people opinion?
On a final note my government petition site petition is running and people can sign if they so wish so to get eventually a government response to the ‘Urgently review current legislation on Oil&Gas developments near major airports’ petition.

I strongly suspect that it is the smell of horse shit, the same smell that always accompanies anything to do with this lot.

Smelly horses bottoms or spilt Tractor oil/diesel It is farmland with livestock the fencers used chainsaws and they spit chain oil all over the place (sticky,smelly stuff) really SMELLY but mineral oil.
I remember when Charlie drove a new John Deer Tractor into a field after an oil change and had not tightened the Bung – whoosh it all came out as he turned into the field messed the Tractor up no end, new engine needed!
There is a small lake at the HH site and it all lies wet boggy and the old dead and redundant coppice woodland was letting of methane, very boggy, you get it all over. Without proper testing. Spurious info.
