Hello Share Chumeroonis. Wasn’t that another marvellous victory for the grumpy crusader? Uncle Tom did really well (again) by fending off a court case threatened by another aggrieved businessman?

Can’t wait to see Tom’s response to this!

There’s too much political vacillation when it comes to most things nuclear for my liking, Malcolm, though that largely goes for energy policy in general – it should be drafted after considering a timescale of epochs, of course, not parliaments (one of the drawbacks of democracy)!
I’ve mentioned thorium before now and it really should be worth considering as the major nuclear fuel. I say “should” rather than “is” because I guess it will be some time before it’s potential is really pursued. Repeating what I posted here just a day or two ago (sorry for that), what would appeal to you most, I suspect, is that burning it results in no weapons-grade by-products (unlike uranium) and the supply is more plentiful (yes it is Amanda, at least potentially – I checked!). Furthermore, many current reactor models could burn it with little or no modifications.
If only they’d listen to the experts…:-(
(I’m not one, I hasten to add.)
